my guess: they are very busy with all of their auctions and just can't handle the volume properly

but...come on...how about some kind of communication?

any advice?

You've read the other threads so you know what you may be up against. I doubt the too busy scenario.

When I see that much bad press about them here on TUG I would not bid even if they put up the one property I'm looking for.

Good luck but I don't see any further help for you here.

got the P&S contract and everything looks like a "GO"

My purchase is going okay...

I complained to the seller ( Luky 987 / SellTimeshare.org) that PacificTransfer isn't responding to my emails and....

The seller was honest and told me that he is switching from Pacific Transfer to another closing company that is located in the Midwest (Ohio?). He basically said that Pacific isn't doing a good enough job keeping up with his volume (many thousands per year) and that Pacific's customer service has been sub-par.

Anyway, I'm hoping my sales gets done fairly soon. I think my sale is still getting closed by Pacific - but most new business will go to this new closing company

I'm sure my purchase will complete - but I hope things improve

I am pretty sure it is actually the same company. It looks like they are changing names and legal entities to start the reputation clock over again. It is difficult to determine where the actual physical operation takes place. There is no evidence that it is really in Ohio or that anything actually changed. Apparently it is the same computer system. I know the legal owner of the new Ohio company doesn't really own anything or have anything to do with it or any form of timeshares or title transfers. They are just a puppet legal owner which is very similar to the puppet owner of selltimeshare.org.

This has been stated many times but it is 99.9% certain that the closing companies and selltimeshare.org are all the same operation.

I have bought from them many times but to say that things can go wrong would be a huge understatement. I have bought 6 from them. 3 went perfectly fine. One took 7 months due to numerous mistakes. I have two in process one of which is at 4 months and according to the resort they are ignoring the transfer because it wasn't done correctly.

Why do you keep buying from them?

Why do you keep buying from them?

Because something of value can be dirt cheap. I made more on one resale from them than they are holding on the two in process so even if they took my money and ran, which is highly doubtful, I am still ahead. They are not my first choice but they are also not my last.

Exactly right,

Because their reputation is so bad, lots of buyers just choose to stay away from their sales. Fewer bidders can mean lower prices.

don't recommend them - unless you ard risking little money and get a great deal

Terrible communications.

Two months since I signed the contract. No word from Pacific. They don't respond to emails.

Don't buy from this outfit unless:

1. You get a great deal. And
2. You are not risking much. And
3. You can deal with crappy service

I bought from them once before and it went just okay. This time the closing company is more than underwhelming me

I had to laugh, I got an email from them requesting I fill out an application for the resort transfer, in closing she had please reply if you have any questions LOL. As I figured she didn't respond and seems to have accepted just the owner info page and not the two page loan application they wanted. I got the original signed deed in the mail Friday, I'm going to call owner services on Monday to see if they have received the owner transfer request.

They owe me a guest cert for the 2013 usage, I'll probably try working with owner services to get it direct from them. It's Xmas week, can't use it anyway.

If you bought on ebay, I hope that you filed a negative report or at least a neutral report. If you wait too long on ebay (while you're waiting for the TS to close), you may find that you can no longer file a report/rating. That's one of the things that allows poor sellers to maintain what would appear to be good ratings.

Just thought I'd update the thread on the lack of progress with my purchase from Luky 987 / SellTimeshare.org / Pacific Transfer:

So, it has been four months since I purchase form them on eBay.

I signed the papers and paid approximately $500 total - back in early September. Since then I have had NO communication from these guys.

I have emailed both the seller (SellTimeshare.org) and the transfer company (Pacific Transfer) multiple times.

I have left voice messages as well.

No replies whatsoever.

I would be happy enough if they would at least get back to me and give me a status update (or even an excuse for the process taking so long). But, they don't even return an email or VM.

There communications is non existent which is completely unacceptable.

I do not recommend them. period.

Sent you a PM, hope it helps.

They eventually did the right thing for me.

I won an auction from them a few weeks ago and I was able to contact them by email and telephone to add something to the contract. I'm sleeping well because I don't have much money at risk.

Right after my win, someone gave him negative feedback because there was no closing company on the contract. ebay removed it, but now there is another stating "scam no title company scam."

Last night on my Samsung tablet I could look at the private auction items while logged onto ebay. I can't do that with my PC. I saw that he won 28000 Wyndham points at Edisto for $51 with no closing cost. It seems odd to complain about the closing company at that price. Also, if it's a revenge seeker, he took the points away from another bidder.

Ebay doesn't remove closing companies from contracts. That wouldn't make sense. The seller changed closing company names and no longer likes disclosing the name because in reality there is no independent closing company. None of the mass ebay sellers using an independent company. They are all "in-house". By not showing the name of the artificial entity it decreases the change that it gets a bad reputation.

I think he meant that eBay removed his feedback, at least that's how I took his post.

X2 - And I would be willing to bet that it was a "mutual withdrawal" by consent of the seller and buyer before ebay removed it.

Let me clarify what I meant
.
Around the middle of Dec, someone left feedback, "no closing company in the contract" or something to that effect. A few days later that negative feedback was removed.
In my contract at that time, there was no closing company mentioned, but it was in the invoice, "In less time closings LLC."
Sorry for the confusion.

I bought from him on Dec 24th. I got a canned message asking for name & address. I sent it with the estoppel request. It's been 10 days and haven't heard a thing. I am thinking it might be best to keep my money in my pocket at this rate. I wonder if I should post a negative feedback to Ebay?

On his auctions he states that the estoppel should be requested prior to bidding.
