You're Being Lied to About Electric Cars

IF L3 chargers and blade batteries ever become available here in the USA i might ever consider a BEV vehicle!

Well, there goes the argument of, "I can fill up my ICE vehicle's tank in 5 minutes."

Kurt

It's still a valid argument in the USA. We are and always will be a BYD free zone.

Bill

Everybody in the US will still get to use the argument
Nothing like the BYD battery is on the horizon in the US
At least not that I aware of
Oh, I realize this is not in the US yet, but the anti-EV people will often say ad nauseam that EVs will never be mainstream because of not enough range, too slow to charge, grid can't handle it, they're a fire hazard, they're too heavy, they cost too much, etc., etc. I'm just saying that all their arguments are slowly being eliminated as technology continues.

Got It
I read about these advancements in batteries and shake my head
The coal industry is on its last legs
As it should be. It was the technology of the 19th century
It was replaced by oil and natural gas
Oil and natural gas will be replaced at some point.
Nuclear power was stalled by the oil/gas industry in the 70s
Nuclear power will return
Fusion power at some point
The US will be at the tail end of the advancements in battery technology
People will wonder why
Electric Vehicles are coming
But the US Auto industry will not be building them

I doubt it.

BYD just released a battery that removed all doubt - it’s in production now. Not the future, today. Yet the skeptics remain steadfast with their illogical predispositions. Staggers the imagination.

There is also this that will compete with solid state battery https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/new...w-lithium-design-doubles-ev-range/ar-AA1XqHR9

Another article on the subject (https://cleantechnica.com/2026/02/28/fluorine-tofu-brine-lead-to-battery-breakthroughs-in-china/) that I like the beginning of the article: "While the US focuses on extracting and burning coal just like the world did in the 19th century, researchers in China are actively engaged in finding new, less expensive batteries with higher power and longer service life."

The EV industry has a saying among people following the developing technologies

"The battery for the 2030 models has not been developed yet"

A look at the EV World Market is different than just looking at US and China
Tesla is doing fine on the world stage

Ev's are maybe 2% of all registered vehicles in the USA in 2026. They are the proverbial example of a niche product purchased by middle age wealthy Caucasians probably going through a midlife crisis, lol. Currently, the USA has many boomers retiring that fit this demographic to a T.

25% of all cars sold worldwide in 2025 were EVs. There must be a whole bunch of wealthy Caucasians going through a midlife crisis around the world. :ROFLMAO:

They're coming, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

Worldwide isn't the same as in the USA. Cars sold isn't the same as cars driven. The demographic of EV buyers in the USA is predominantly wealthy middle aged Caucasian men and even then it's only a small percentage of this entire demographic. While I haven't researched the boomer generations vehicle buying considerations, I do know many retirees that begin collecting Social Security checks suddenly have enough extra money for a car payment.

That's just your biased opinion isn't it. Maybe you should ask Claude, lol.

Perhaps you should ask Claude. I did, I read the articles, I’ve seen the facts. “lol”
