So thanks to doing research on this forum, I was able to cancel a purchase I made (i know smh) at a time share presentation while on vacation in Vegas.

Nevada law gives you five calendar days, so I had to write and mail the letter in that time frame. Even though the operations department is in Orlando and I am a Florida resident. Anyway, I signed contract on Oct 20, 2023 and mailed letter by certified USPS with return receipt on Oct 25, 2023. I also sent an email requesting confirmation on the 26th. On Oct 31st, I received an email from them with a pdf letter confirming the cancellation of the contract.

The contract was a "sale/discount". From what I read on forum, it was not a bad deal for a straight-from-developer purchase. I received 12,000 annual credits for $25,029 (supposedly worth $46,320) with no down payment (after opening Wyndham credit card). They also threw in 12,000 extra credits, to be used in 2 years I believe, 1 RCI trip for $450 and 150,000 Wyndham reward points on the credit card. Payment terms would've been a $337 monthly finance payment plus $120 monthly for maintenance.

Will look at resale market now to see if I can find a similar deal at much less.

Thanks again.

check out wmowners for sale thread
There is a list of trusted resellers plus you can look through what has sold or is for sale now.
You will save $20K. The only difference with resale is the lack of Travelshare, and the additional travel share dues. There is nothing in travel share that is worth the extra cost of the developer credits or even the monthly dues.
The RCI trip for $450 is likely one of their Last Calls that are available to anybody for that price or less.
Once you purchase, stay away from the sales desk aka concierge, aka Parking pass etc.

This shouldn’t be difficult at all. Check ebay. Just buy from a seller with decent ratings selling timeshares, there are plenty of large reputable resale sellers on ebay.

There is a lot of good information about Worldmark on facebook and some owners listing sales. Join Worldmark the Club on facebook, you;ll see positive and negative comments. We love Worldmark, have 12,000 credits we bought resale, but also use the cash options as housekeeping is included. Hope you find a good deal but don't listen to the sales departments!
