Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota. Taken from a boat in the middle of the lake. Was there for a family reunion, July 2018. The photo doesn't do justice to the brilliant blue of the sky that day.
This reminds me of a recent trip to Bear Lake, UT - water so blue it made me think of the ocean. This is not my best photo of the lake, but one I could find quickly.

Mine was cropped from a picture I took while snorkeling with my grandson in Jamaica in 2008. The waterproof camera wasn't. It died shortly after this picture, but got replaced because it still was under warranty. :whooopie:

Mine is obvious - a Kansas Jayhawk - Basketball edition. We did not go to KU, but moved to Lawrence, Kansas to work not long after graduation from a college in Arkansas. Our across the street neighbor was the Offensive Coodinator for the football team. He took pity on a young couple with two small boys and would give us comp tickets to football and basketball games. He knew that we liked basketball better and so we got to many of the games and became huge Jayhawk BB fams. Ted moved on to the Buffalo Bills and then to the Philidelphia Eagles, about the time we were transferred to Topeka. But with KU, we can watch all their games on TV and we still love them. We did go to Allen Field House every few years for a game or two until we left the area in 2002. (The seats we could afford were no where as nice as the ones we got from Ted.) The best seats we ever had though was a last minute purchase from a guy at work who opted to work OT rather than go to the Big 8 Tournament in 1988. We were on the 2nd row and got to watch Danny Manning play. :) That team won it all. :cheer:

A waterproof camera that wasn't would totally suck! Glad you were able to get it replaced.

Say hello to my baby Aussie Boo-Boo!

He's such a loving little doggie, but he BARKS too much ( he barks at every boat that goes by our house, and every truck that goes down the street)
, and needs to live on a farm where he can herd sheep all day. He is HIGH ENERGY! He is a boat herder! I love him because he lives to lick my face!

Mine is my carbon fiber stand up paddle board. It’s a racing board and cuts through the water with ease. I don’t race, but it’s my favorite hobby. Since it is a fragile board I call it my Cinderella Board. I own 3 different boards.

Unfortunately since moving and working in NorCal I have not been able to partake in this guilty pleasure. 6 months to go and we will be retired and back in SoCal. Hope never to see East Bay SF again, and have plenty of paddling in my future.

Mine is an example of Patti's pumpkin carving for Halloween. She does 2 to 3 depending on how her hands are doing. This was from the year she was into South Pacific. She finds a picture or statute she likes and then free hand copys it onto a pumpkin.

My avatar is our dearly departed Lucy. She was the only cat we've ever had who "talked" and always had to have the last word. Afraid of strangers, but would warm up if they visited often enough. The exception was the Arab student we had for three weeks. She was out to say hello within two hours of his arrival -- she loved his cologne! My parents only saw her a handful of times in the ten years we had her, but she stuck like glue to Abdul.

We had a cat like that when I was in high school in Hawaii. Terrified of strangers. Skittish and afraid of her shadow, Blackie lived in the closet in my parent's bedroom most of the time. She and I got along well, and she'd come to me to give her tidbit treats of whatever snack I was eating at the time. I could pet and brush her, and she was very much at ease, until someone else walked into the room. I left home after high school, when Blackie was about three.

Fast forward about fifteen years. I was visiting my by-then-retired parents, who had retired to Oregon. I was sitting on the couch quietly talking to my folks, and suddenly a ragged, very elderly black cat jumped up on the couch and climbed into my lap, mewing into my face. Blackie was at least 18 years old at that point, had lost a lot of hair, and had been "displaced" by the younger cats as the Alpha in the house. She then spent all of her time hiding in the closet, mainly from those other cats. My folks said they hadn't seen her in the living room in months. She was a sweetheart, and we got reacquainted during my visit. She died of old age a month or so later.

This is our big 12 pound cat aka Concord whom we rescued from the humane society as a kitten. Turns out he is a rare breed - Nebelung which is a long hair Russian Blue. Unlike our Maine Coon who insisted on fresh water, Nebelungs insist on never used litter boxes but prefer to sneak outdoors every day for his business. Very friendly with strangers and plays with our dog. Best cat we've ever had.
