I suppose in some sense. But according to the USVI Bureau of Economic Research the USVI has 3,435 Hotel rooms across all islands so a new 126 room hotel isn't going to have that big of an impact. And it's just a Hampton not even a Hilton so I'm guessing the wages and staffing levels will be subpar.
 
Has anyone else had an issue with confirming a FIxed/Fixed reservation recently? I confirmed my 2027 week 9 in August (I have the email) When I looked at my dashboard today my 2027 week was again in an Unconfirmed status. If I had not noticed I would have been SOL. This isn't the first time, I remember several other people having this issue in the last couple years. Now I have two emails with different confirmation numbers for that week. WTH, I'm sure MVC would love to rent out my unit for beaucoup $$$.

Really sucks after receiving the " Your MF will be increasing by 5.1%" letter last week.
 
Can you post the MF increase letter. We haven’t seen it.

Does anyone have a contact email for the resort? The only email contact I have is for the concierge and it's a general resort question that I don't know they can answer. No rush in getting an answer, so I don't want to call. I have an email for the GM...But not exactly a pressing question for the GM either. :ponder:

What is the increase for Sunset Bay? They haven’t sent anything out yet. They have to be careful with continued ugly increases. It’ll just explode delinquency and push owners out and lead to a financial collapse.
 
Still have not seen WSJ-Sunset Bay 2026 fees post yet. Does anyone in the know have any indication what % increases we are looking at coming?
