I own both Vistana (WKORVNorth & Sheraton Vistana Villages Mandatory Star Options resale) and 2,500 Abound points all bought resale, however the Vistana is part of abound making me Chairman level.

I only use WKORVNorth to go to Maui for now, I have also added nights using abound points.
If you want to go to several places for short stays I think you may be better off buying some abound points (say 2500 points, rent if you need more). You can try out the system and decide if you want more points or a deeded week. Deeded weeks can be used to trade to many different locations via Interval international, so it is not true that you have to go to the same location every year (in fact I almost never go to my deeded week property), I trade it for other locations and/or now abound points to use at other locations.
