Transfer time for resale deeds

When my transfer was completed (The Welcome to Vistana email received), it took 24 hours for the contract to show up in my account, and another 24 hours for one of the two existing reservations to show up. The second reservation never showed up, but I had planned to cancel it anyway since it wasn't the week I asked the previous owner to book.

I was notified by Vistana that my new mandatory deed has been added to my account. It took 7 weeks from deed filing to showing in my account. Good news is the deed is combined with my other VSN deed in the same account so hopefully I will not have to pay VSN fees twice.

Bad news is that VSN = NO so staroptions and Interval International are not showing up with this mandatory deed. Do you think this is a delay in set-up? or should I reach out? If so, which is the most effective way to notify?

My experience has been that this part of the process takes a little longer to get finalized. If you don't see any change after a week, contact Customer Advocacy.

Update: Customer Service responded to my email within 48 hours and told me that my VSN on my mandatory deed is showing as active on their side even though my online account doesn't show it yet. It turned from VSN = "No" to "Yes" about 48 hours after their comms.

Interval International is not showing up on my deed yet. I have an II account with my other mandatory. Any ideas how long that should take? (I am not in a rush as I plan to use SOs but would like everything from the purchase in order.)

That took a few days longer than the VSN change when I went through this a few months ago. As with the VSN issue, if it takes longer just contact them again, and reference your current II corporate membership number to make sure the new VOI goes to the same account.

II finally showed up on my new resale deed, however the II account number is different than my existing enrolled WKORV. Should this be the same account number?

VSN = YES for both mandatory deeds.

If it's enrolled in VSN, it should be able to be used in the same corporate II account. I would contact Owner Services and ask them to move the new VOI to the preexisting corporate II account number.

Hard to say now that we have Abound and your new week is not Abound eligible. It is possible they are putting ineligible weeks into a different II account so they don't get the $0 exchange fees into Marriott and Vistana.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that.

I called and CSR said my accounts were not titled the same. Doesn't make sense because both old and new deeds appeared in my online account. They said there is a field that is blank under our old deed that is filled in on the new deed. I am in contact with title dept to try to figure out what is going on because I cannot see what they see. The deeds are titled the same. Might be an internal data entry error.

Doesn't make sense and apparently doesn't have to make sense because they are setting up new accounts/ forcing new log-ins for every new Sheraton we buy. They just won't combine anything anymore for us.

@rickandcindy23 Our account is combined for online staroptions just not for II accounts. It sounds like an account setup issue on our original enrolled deed.

However we will never combine staroptions because we would rent out WKORVN OF before using it for staroptions. Our WKV is our Staroption account.

Does it matter to have same corp II account for two deeds? Maybe it does not matter.

In the past, probably not. I suspect now that your new II account will charge you an II exchange fee of $164 where your Abound II account charges $0 (when trading Vistana to Vistana/Marriott). If you can get this new week in your existing II account, that week may also be afforded $0 exchange fees.

If you never intend to trade in II, none of it matters.

I just closed on a WKORV week, just curious how long transfers are taking?

Thanks!
I just completed two. It takes a terribly long time to close on properties in Hawaii. Most recent resale purchases I made at WKORV North took about 4 months and Vistana still doesn't have them listed in my portfolio. I need to call them.

WKORV Transfer completed on December 2nd. The request was submitted on October 26th. The new contract was placed in my existing account without issue. I am just waiting for the reservation that was made for me by the previous owner to transfer. Marriott informed me that the reservation can take up to an additional 48 hours to appear in my account.

Purchased a resale kierland week last year and took about 3 months after close of escrow to get into my vistana account.
