Transfer time for resale deeds

I was just notified this morning that my week transferred - 8 weeks and 1 day from the date they received paperwork in their office.
 
Will I get notified that my account has been activated? By whom, escrow or Vistana?
 
We just completed transfer of 2 Lagunamar purchases. Paperwork sent May 8, transfer complete July 8th ish. Oddly/sadly 1 week was added to our existing Vistana account, but the other week was given a new membership number "2301 followed by the contract number.
Now we have a 2nd Vistana account, fortunately it's a voluntary resort. We are still waiting on 2 more contracts to transfer. We will see how many logins I have after that:eek:

Same here. The whole transaction took about nine weeks. I got the notification last week from Vistana of my mandatory 2BD lock-off week transfer. Yesterday, since I did not see the StarOption on my Dashboard, I called Vsitana, and the IT ticket was submitted, and today I see all my contracts StarOptions in one dashboard. I tested a few reservations using a mix of StartOptions, and they all worked fine. The bad news: For MF payment, I will have to set up new VSN ID accounts or call to pay the MF on the two orphan contracts. I will complain a few more times, give it some time, and if nothing gets resolved, I will call to pay those contracts' MFs. I do not want to set up additional VSN login accounts. The bottom line and most important thing is that I now have a good mix of StarOption contracts (points, weeks, & CP capable) with three contracts able to convert to Club Points and all five contracts available across the VSN network. My goals were: [1] to add more vacation time :cool: and [2] to add flexibility options via a mandatory week so I could reserve comfortably on both systems; that was my desired goal. Eventually, MVC will fix the issue, but I am good for now and starting to plan our first MVC trek. :)
 
I just sold a Holiday Inn and a Hyatt The Holiday Inn was quicker, maybe 75 days. Thy Hyatt took a few weeks longer. I used LT Transfers for both and I was a little disappointed on the Hyatt, they dropped the ball with the buyer's paperwork which set us back at least 30 days.

Did LT Transfers notify you that the transfer was complete?

At the end, once the companies verified the transfers were complete.
 
I just purchased thru REMax @ HHV, Lagoon Tower. They told me 60-90 days for paperwork so not following up until mid August @ 60 days.
 
LT Transfers notified me that my escrow is closed. Vistana has all of the paperwork. How long should it take for my resale purchase to show up on my online account?
 
8-12 weeks?

So you have a confirmation from the escrow company that the resort management said that the transfer is complete on the same day that the contract closed escrow?

From my experience, once I heard from the closing company that the deed was recorded and sent to Vistana, it took 10 weeks for it to show up in my online account. Others have reported up to 12 weeks and as low as 8 weeks. If yours has already been confirmed to be transferred, great! Which resort is this?

The transfer is complete. I bought at Lagunamar. Funds have now been transferred to the seller. Now I want to make a reservation but nothing shows in my account. I received notice about 4 days ago.

Call Vistana, it may be that they created a new acct # for that week. That just happened to us. We purchased 2 weeks and one went into our existing account and the other was assigned a new owner # so I had to open up a 2nd online acct and link the contract.

If you call vistana, they can check if the contract # is in your name and see if there is a new account #

Any luck with Vistana? I see from your previous posts that you closed escrow on May 25, so it makes sense that you received your Welcome email from Vistana a few days ago. I misunderstood your post above because I thought that you had just closed escrow. It should definitely take 1-2 days to show up if all goes well. I hope you were able to get the contract to show up online so that you can book.
 
I purchased a Hyatt unit recently. Sales contract signed and submitted on 5/22/23, passed ROFR within 7 days and received confirmation from Hyatt on 7/25/23 of the transfer. The property was in my online profile same day even though they said it takes 24 hrs.

However, Westin/Vistana has been a nightmare! Sales contract submitted on 3/17/23 (no ROFR requirement) by LT Transfer and finally received confirmation from Westin/Marriott on 7/26/23 of the transfer.
 
I purchased a WKV resale. Transfer doc's were sent to Marriott/Vistana on Jun 5th and it showed up in my existing Vistana account on Aug 8th. It took 9 weeks. The reservations that the prior owner had made, one of which was for me for Apr 2024, did not transfer over. I called Vistana today and the agent told me that all prior owner reservations are cancelled when the transfer takes place. That wasn't my understanding. Fortunately, the Apr time slot that I wanted was still available and the agent was able to book it for me. I was also able to bank the 2023 unused StarOptions before the Aug 31st deadline.
 
A mistake in the Contract. I did not accept what they offered. Will look into buying another Unit next year or two.
 
SDO Transfer was completed on August 12th. The request was submitted on June 16th.

My transfer was completed a couple weeks ago for WKV. The prior owner had a Dec 2023 reservation and I had them make an Apr 2024 reservation in my name so that it would be booked. When the transfer was complete and showed in my VSN account the reservations weren’t there. I called owner services and was told that the reservations were automatically cancelled upon transfer. I had planned to bank the StarOptions for the Dec 2023 reservation which I then did as my banking deadline is Aug 31st. The agent was able to book me the Apr 2024 time slot I wanted so it all worked out. However, the real estate agent who sold me the WKV week told me the Vistana agent was wrong and that the reservations should have transferred and if I waited a few more days it should have happened And showed in my VSN account. In my case it worked out but I would also like to know the official policy on this.
