There's a heated debate - do you do laundry on vacation?

We have started using them during our travels. So much easier.

Brewster Green (two weeks).
In a timeshare with washer and dryer, I take home clean clothes. If more than a week in hotels or on a cruise, I do hand laundry and take my travel clothes line.

I love being able to do laundry on vacation! Less packing for one thing.

Then bringing home clean clothes so as not to have to do the laundry when you get home. That was important to me when I was working. Now retired I don’t care about that anymore.

What is the big deal? I mean it’s not like this is the dark ages and you have to use a scrub board to wash each garment! In unit laundry is awesome, but our timeshare just has a couple of coin operated machines in the building. I used to do the wash at the end of the day once during the week and then again the night before we left.

And I haven’t ironed anything in decades.

Now retired and living somewhat nearby I don’t bother. But I like having the option.

I love returning home with clean clothes!
Yes! Especially for my daughter and her 4 kids! Because then it's right back to the daily grind. She doesn't want to have to add a week's worth of laundry to everything else while she's trying to get back into the pace of work. It's easy to fit in a load here or there after the day's activities are over.

Having a washer/dryer in the unit is a big deal for us. We don't like to wear smelly clothing like so many appear to do. Same goes for having at least an efficiency or bigger kitchen.
The concept of having to always buy overpriced food at restaurants daily is a no go for us. Every few days is fine. The kitchen and washer/dryer is the big advantage of timeshares vs. the standard hotel room.
