Tahiti Resort (Las Vegas) — Thoughts from Current Owners?

Hey everyone — I'm a current owner at Tahiti Resort on Tropicana Ave in Las Vegas and have had some great experiences trading through both Interval International and RCI over the years. The resort itself is a solid base for a Las Vegas trip — well located, good amenities, and the 2BR lockout configuration is flexible for different group sizes.


I'm in the process of transitioning out of ownership and would love to hear from anyone familiar with the property — either current owners, former owners, or anyone who has traded into it. Curious what experiences others have had.


For anyone potentially interested in taking over ownership — the unit is fully paid off, no liens, account in good standing, and I have an active 2026 week available. I'm listing it for $1 and covering all transfer and closing costs.

Seems to be always available on II. We stayed at Cancun Resort which is another older place that seems to be always available. These resorts serve their purpose but they seem kind of tired. We always have a car and our activities aren’t focused on the strip so these off strip resorts do their job. I am curious which one of the two is better.

I have been using my OL studios for this type of trade. The Marriott Grand Chateau next to the strip also comes available and is much more upscale experience. So we would normally trade into that.

I like location and vibe of resort but They need to update couches in those suites

As mentioned in your other post, I own here. I bought it while it was under construction before the fire. It has been many, many years since I've stayed here, so I have no personal experience with the current condition of the resort. However, I usually look at TripAdvisor reviews every year to see what the masses have to say, and it consistently has 4 out of 5 stars average. Over the years, most negative reviews seem to come from the entitled or ignorant crowd complaining about things like: "I booked a studio, and they refused to give me a free upgrade to a 1-bedroom." or "There is no lazy river, and they refused to give us reciprocity at Tahiti Village." The 3 star reviews usually state things like @Jazddy mentioned--couches need updating or mattresses could be better. Those are the negative comments I pay more attention too. More recently folks are complaining about the pool being closed. Even fancy, upscale resorts have to close the pools for maintenance at times. Whether or not that is a legitiamant complaint depends on when/if that information was made available to the guest upon booking or at least in advance of their reservations.

I flew into Vegas last summer and was surprised by how much the Strip has changed. Personally, I didn't find it as enjoyable as I did 20 years ago. I would much rather stay off the strip. Tahiti is a good base camp for visiting several parks/recreational areas that are an hour or less drive: Hoover Dam, Lake Mead National Rec Area, Red Rock Canyon Nat. Conservation Area, Valley of Fire, Tule Springs Fossil Beds Nat. Monument. Even Zion and Death Valley are only 2 hours away.

it’s got this unique quiet chic chill vibe about it and also in decent location of next door to like dennys Walgreens and other shopping complex and big like park across sometimes people play soccer w grass …employees are very nice there …has safety where the access rooms and stairways and elevators only with key card, really the only issue is they should revamp the 1 bedroom suites rlly needs makeover .. im fan of also electric fireplaces they got
