... I will accept your apology now for bad mouthing a good resale company ...

I am sorry that the buyer, in this case, got involved with a company like Sumday. The buyer could be in for years worth of problems as a result of this transaction if Sumday does not take the deed back.

If the facts are as presented, then I would think Sumday would have no problems with this because the Resort would take the disputed timeshare back from Sumday.

Anyone want to buy a Deeded Property from a re-seller for Club Wyndham Access? (Just kidding, bad joke to illustrate a point).

The word intractable comes to mind

The buyer is going to come out of the whole or better than whole and you feel sorry for them?

Please go re-read what Jeff posted, then please show me where you came up with this odd view?

I do not wish to continue the debate. To each their own reading and conclusions.

Where's the information that the resort said that?? In the tale of events the resort has never offered that up.

I also notice that you avoided responding to my question of whether you would act differently if you found yourself in a similar circumstance.

I was acquiring timeshares and ended up in not dissimilar circumstances as this buyer. That is why I know what the potiental headaces associated with this situation. To answer your question, actually I would fix the problems if I was the seller or I would take the unit back and fix the problems.

Did you read the same thing I did? They are offering a full refund or a better option taking another SW managed resort an receiving between $750 -$1500 worth of prepaid fees.
I can't see where this is anything but a win for the buyer, and Sumday is making this right.
Even though as I predicted it was a MANAGEMENT company mistake.
I will accept your apology now for bad mouthing a good resale company.

I agree with your completely. Sumday is a quality company. Just like Jeff Brown (sumday vacations), I feel sorry that OP decided to air this here instead of working out with Sumday (given the fact that OP is an experienced resale buyer).

My question is: OP started this thread saying she just wants the money back. Did she pop this to Sumday before and got no response on that?

See the post at #1. It appears that was basically the case. It is nice to see, as observed on another thread, that the use of TUGS gets things moving forward.

It looks like you may be what is called a TRoll in internet speak.

You don't have a dog in that fight either but continue rabble rousing even after seeing pages after pages of glowing recommendations from long time tuggers.

Since you appear to be unaware of Ebay's listings parameters, you must put a location on an timeshare you list, so you will see things like Worldmark Kauai, even though they are pure points and don't have a home resort.

This is what you are seeing and I guess not understanding.

As to running around and touting the BBB they are a toothless tiger that can suggest or attempt to mediate, similar to what I am doing without all the hype and hoopla,:wall: :wall: :wall:

Greg

It is not uncommon for consumers to have different experiences. OP posted about his/her recent experience/nightmare with a company that you seem to love. Another poster wrote about their sketchy experience. The last I heard, all (noncommercial) posters are allowed to express their viewpoints and share their experiences without others trying to block viewposts that they do not agree with. Instead of attacking other posters, why not help the OP by speaking to one of your trustworthy contacts at the firm.

Nobody is attacking the OP, just disagreeing with her approach here (just the way you are disagreeing). The definition of attack is:

at·tack/əˈtak/

Verb: Take aggressive action against (a place or enemy forces) with weapons or armed force: "in December, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor".

Noun: An aggressive and violent action against a person or place: "he was killed in an attack on a checkpoint".

One definition of the word attack, according to Merriam-Webster on line dictionary is: "to assail with unfriendly or bitter words"

One definition of an Attack Dog is: "a person noted for harsh, personal, and usually public verbal attacks against others"

Sumday does appear to have one or more Attack Dogs.

Southwind's Resolution

Peggy,
I just heard back from Southwind Mgmt and here is what they would like to do. We originally deeded you Unit 612 Week 29 Even, they would like you to deed that one back to them and we have the document to do so. In return they are going to deed you Unit 612 Week 28 Even, we also have this document in place ready to go.

As you know these are floating units so week 28 and 29 are both prime time so in essence you are going to get the exact same usability as you originally purchased from us. I hope this is to your satisfaction. We have sent you a private email also so that we can get this finalized no later than next week.

I am nobodys Attack Dog

But along those lines there is one of the blue collar tour called Ron White or Tater Salad, that has a line that seems to fit here.

I've noticed that Jeff and SumDay Vacations seem to be very responsive to TUG complaints and Better Business Bureau feedback. I would not hesitate to use either one to get results with this company.

Also, from previous threads, SumDay gets both positive and negative reviews from previous customers.

I personally have had a negative experience with Sumday that did not get resolved.

I have had a number of transactions with SumDay over the years. One time there was a problem. I called them. They fixed it. The thought of going to TUG or the BBB never crossed my mind.

Post it here and maybe Sumday will resolve it.

Well, according to your warped perspective, any remedy that Sumday proposes will not be resolution. Nor will you concede your wrongheadedness. I've noticed that element of antagonistic arrogance from more than one of our resident TUG "guests".

Just correcting a minor issue, I am a member of Tugs but am being reconized as such in the section(s) you are referring to.

Also, you may want to review messages 36 and 37.

P.S. I have been called worse.

I have a handle to post and ask questions on TUG --- just like you, rrlongwell!

But I, too, have NOT PAID the $15 membership fee to JOIN TUG --- just like you, rrlongwell!

PS It is TUG --- not Tugs!

Can't wait to get the boiled pizza recipe. :ignore:

I know TUG does not control attacks on Tugs Members. Just for your information I do pay the TUGS dues. The defenders of Sumday do truely resort to name calling and untruths.

I have never done a transaction with Sumday. I just don't like certain attitudes and have a hard time biting my tongue
