RCI Suspended Eagle Village Tamiment

For me it is puzzling that there has been no response to the question of whether anyone has recently stay at EV and /or the conditions of the property.Maybe those that follow this forum have not been there over the last few months (?).

I know, there has been nothing posted. I wonder too what is going on.
 
I just got a call from EV. They wanted to verify that I would be using both my weeks this summer. They said I would be in my actual units, and that they will be ready for my arrival. They are in July and August.
 
Yep, I posted that deed back earlier. That posting just verifies what I thought. So, I think this is the last year for EV. They said my units would be available. But this will be the last time.

Who did you talk to? Curious as to who even works there. Didn't they fire everyone after buying a majority of deeds?
 
When you call the number, you get Jules. She apparently works off the property. She said the office is still open but they don't take phone calls anymore. Kara was the person who called me to verify I would be using my weeks.

Let me clarify, they didn't say it would be the last time. That was my opinion.

So not accepting inbound RCI, but listing on Airbnb. Seems like the timeshare is disappearing and the new majority owners/board of directors/john oakes are moving to a different model to seemingly disappoint folks.
 
So, I did some trolling. I pretended I wanted to book EV thru AirBnb, but asked them why it looked different from the other postings. This was their reply:

Hi, this unit is specifically 1049. Any other listings are individuals and not the resort itself. This unit has updated bedding, etc and is listed by us at the resort.

It sounds like Stephanie was accepting direct cash payments to allow someone to rent a unit monthly. Sounds like fraud has been going on. Does Stephanie still work for EV?
 
Information received from an individual who prefers to remain anonymous.
1.All office staff including the EV manager and recreation attendant no longer employed at EV.
2.Outside appearance of property has not improved. Moss growth on buildings,trash,broken,discarded furniture,etc are seen throughout the property.
3.Recreation center,pool is closed indefinitely for repairs(?).
4.The house that had burned down and collapsed is still there without any signs of removal.(Located across from Eagle Point development).
5.No repairs to road ways,parking lots.
6.Conditions of EV give the appearance of abandonment.
(Disclaimer:I cannot confirm this since I have not personally witnessed it however this description can be easily verified by anyone visiting. I cannot answer any questions-just passing on information that was provided.)
 
Eaglevillageresort.com website seems to be active again. New design and they are advertising rentals. It shows all the units by type. If my unit does not rent, I will drive down to check out the property in July. Does anyone live closer than 5 hours away?

So no more Stephanie? I stayed a 3BR(not mine but 1064) last July. It was habitable but there were mice problems. Stephanie initially told me it was part of the "back to nature" experience! The next day she gave me 2 glue traps, both of which produced positive results. I'd love to come back but this is hard to deal with. I still haven't paid this years MF.

According to what I was told in response to my original question in April all office staff including Stephanie Mills and the recreation /pool attendant is no longer employed at EV.
I am hoping that there will be positive improvements at Eagle Village, but at this point, I have more questions than answers.
