Has anyone received mail from Fairshare Solutions, offering a reduced rate to pay 2024 dues and get some RCI points? We have and are wondering if this is legitimate or just another way to get money from us?
I received a letter but it is asking for $1,275 including fees. I am in weeks not in points. My opinion is they are always looking to make money and so far nothing has been done in the interest of the owners. I have received over 5 calls from EV basically telling me to setup an online account and pay! They have not done anything that shows me that they are doing anything for the owners. Over a year ago promises that they will work to get RCI reinstated. Now 2025 will pass without RCI reinstatement. No mention of weeks owners! Five months of new consulting company and one photo of wall paper removal What is the plan? Oh renovations really what is the timeframe and what is being done what is the cost? All they are doing is trying to collect money and takeover interest in the deeds that owners are deeding back at $2,500, what a joke. Has anybody seen anything new or repaired? They did get tons of quotes.

Hi, no company can reduce maintenance dues on our timeshare. The have nothing, absolutely nothing to do with our timeshare. They are scammers.

I did contact RCI and they said Eagle Village has been reinstated. FAirshare Solutions didn't promise to reduce our maintenance fees, just waive the late fee for 2024. We have points, so had no value without their being RCI members. They are mentioned in the letter we got from Eagle Village.

I also contacted RCI and received this a couple days ago:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting RCI.

As of today, the suspension is still in place. We have not been told of any reinstatements at this time.

Kind Regards,

So it definitely sounds like RCI did not reinstate Eagle Village as of yet. I just did a deedback but was just curious how things were turning out. I wasn't seeing a future in Eagle Village anymore so I decided on the deedback. I think I made the right decision...hating paying $2,500 but feels good to be out of it.

I walked through the EV property recently.
I observed many maintenance vehicles in different areas of the property.
I’m not sure what has been accomplished or worked on but it does seem like there is an attempt to make improvements.
I am now willing to give the new management a chance after so many years of neglect.
The return of RCI can only help in attracting new or returning visitors.

So if you read the announcement on our current Eagle Village portal it said the reinstatement will take place on January 15th and at that time we would be able to deposit our week or points on RCI.

I am learning in regards to the deedback for Eagle Village that people are paying different amounts for the deedbacks. I paid $2,500 and I know other peple paid $1,700. Has anyone else discovered this? Frank was promising people that paid $2,500 that he would get them a RCI certificiate. He has been promising it to me for 3 months and still have not gotten it. I thought he was responsive and honest but I can't say he was at this point. The deedbacks should be the fee and shouldn't be charging people different amounts without even looking into their financial background. This is very unfair.

I am sorry to read this.
Hopefully the individual that you dealt with will make it right for you.
Nobody should be charged one fee while others are charged less.

Yes, I am VERY upset about this. this was Frank from the Resale company. I thought he was honest and was going to get me the RCI certificate. He kept telling me it was going to happen and now when I e-mail him, he doesn't respond so I guess I am not getting anything in return. Very unfair to charge different prices to different people.

Has anyone actually spoken to that John Oakes guy?

I haven’t seen anything happening at the timeshares, except for them taking down a couple trees in the video they posted

I’ve seen some things on local face book groups saying he’s not paying his employees ??

Are we getting scammed here or something?

If you are comfortable doing so please share what Facebook groups have stated that employees have not been compensated.
I would definitely be interested in learning more about this.

I have noticed customer service has not been as robust in their responses recently. For example, all questions have not been answered that I asked and it took 2 attempts to get a response. I remain hopeful. If the RCI points get added to anyone’s account on January 15, as promised, feel free to let us know. I’ll do the same. To be fair, it is a lot for one person to take on in addition to was already on John’s usual task list. I was told it would take at least two years to get all the work done. It is concerning if employees aren’t getting properly compensated though. It will definitely be helpful if some quotes from employees can be shared if available.

I saw it I think in Middle Smith fb group or The Poconos - a worker from one of his events said none of them were paid for their work, and at least one of them was like a golf cart rental business saying they had not gotten paid either. I think it was workers from their big shows over there. I can’t seem to find it but there is a Google review saying the same thing, if you look under the 1 star reviews. I know he canceled a couple of events there, so I am worried if he’s the one in charge of this place now too.

I notice his website has missing stuff and doesn’t have anything listed as a future event, so maybe the poster was right?

Update: I found that post - it’s in The Poconos group, the poster is Jane Yarrish. Honestly I’m not sure how to post a photo in this message board, sorry

Here’s what it says:
I know I am probably saying something I should not but here it goes. Pocono Park in bushkill had some events in the summer where hundreds of people worked. Many needed the extra money for the holidays. The staff has not been paid. Excuses after excuses from the owner. Now we find out he has an christmas event happening after he says no money. I'm hoping people go to other events that owners truly care for their staff. Sorry but many people are hurting while he is making money.

And a person called Kim’s cozy campers says she hasn’t been paid in the comments.

In the past 2 or so days a letter came in regarding a February board member meeting to elect new board members and the email below arrived :
GREAT NEWS for RCI POINTS MEMBERS

Eagle Village Management has heard your voices and we were able to adjust our agreement with RCI to benefit our points owners!

What you need to know:
Once you are current on your Eagle Village maintenace fees, Eagle Village will send a request to RCI and RCI will unblock your account. You will have access to any unexpired, previous Use Year Points that may have become subsequently available after processing the unblock request with RCI. Before you can access your unblocked Points you must be current on all RCI annual membership fees, which also may include any points saving or points extension fees as well.
If you have already paid for 2025, we have already sent the request to unblock your RCI points for 2025 and your unexpired points for 2024.
If you haven't paid your 2025 dues, please do so using your Owner Portal here. Use your email to reset your password to access your account.
Please note our new customer service phone number is (570) 536-0020 and our email address is customerservice@eaglevillageresort.com. We can also help take a payment by phone at this number.”

I am not sure how RCI point accounts work but I would think the same as "Weeks", which is what I am in. My account has not been blocked by RCI, I have full access to use any TPU I have as well as Extra vacations. So I am somewhat unclear why they say RCI will unblock your account. It should have been active as long as you kept current on membership fees. Obviously no new points would have been added.

I think it means that the RCI suspension Eagle Village is in will be lifted and the points that were blocked in our RCI account due to the suspension will be returned. That’s just my interpretation though. All my accounts are current. I haven’t seen any returned points yet.

Here are some progress photos of Unit 1033. We hope you enjoy seeing the progress as we move through this process.
As a reminder you can access your owner portalhere. Use your email to reset your password to access your account if needed.
Please note our new customer service phone number is (570) 536-0020 and our email address is customerservice@eaglevillageresort.com. We can also help take a payment by phone at this number.

Unit 1033- Progress Photos:
Flooring removed, wallpaper removed, popcorn texture removed. New smoothe texture in progress. Old bathroom cabinets gone. Dated fireplace tile gone.”

This is a joke, so 3 months and this is what has been done. I see black mold, water damage. The renovation at this pace will take 30 years! Most units need new roofs, HVAC systems, appliances and interior furnishings. What is the estimated cost for this project? and what will be cost to owners?
