RCI New member offer

RCI reactivated my old member # after asking for my Worldmark member number for confirmation.
Other timeshares already listed from the previous membership are also activated.
Looks like I'm good to go.

Would be nice if Interval would do a matching offer. I'd like to try them out at some point without having to pay double fees.

Bummer, Marriott St Kitts Beach Club cannot be traded with RCI. It’s not a legacy resort. 😕

Well, it's a Marriott ... same ownership as II. Legacy resort or not doesn't play into exchange company affiliation.

RCI - TNL aka Wyndham world
II - VAC aka Marriott world

There are a few Marriott resorts that are dual affiliated, perhaps that is what they meant by the term "legacy".

Two or three WorldMark Owners have reported the "Oops - something went wrong" error when using the WM portal to log in to RCI.

I am trying to determine:
Is RCI down for all WM Owners?
Are other portals having the problem?
Is the problem limited to those who took advantage of RCI's "free new member offer" ?

I have got "Oops - something went wrong" after I used the new member offer to join RCI. One time I called worldmark and they said my account can only be used for "points" account? , the other few times I just ignore it, since it is a trouble to talk to worldmark, and just gave up using it. then after a while, it come back and I can use it for searching , .... I have not really book anything yet.

I am receiving the error as of yesterday (was working fine for 1 month or so prior) and I signed up for the free new member offer.

I'm getting that error message as well via the WM portal but RCI is working for the HGVC portal.

Sadly, the "Oops - something went wrong" occurs every now and then on the WM RCI portal. I'm assuming they broke something again.
Since I have access to RCI through HGVC, I normally wait a few days or so to see if it clears up on it's own.

It says it worked for me, let’s see if I get anything else. My membership expired in may.
Came back as error occurred

Honestly, I refuse to pay for RCI membership via WorldMark because of the frequent RCI portal issues I've experienced in the past. This was the primary reason I let my RCI Membership expire in 2023.

With my previous membership, I lost access to RCI via the portal for several weeks. After multiple attempts with WorldMark and RCI to get it resolved, I gave up. Of course, months later while on the phone with WM to deposit weeks into Interval, the rep mentions the RCI exchange option. I tell her I haven't been able to access RCI via WorldMark for several months. She took a look and was able to immediately fix the issue on the call. WorldMark obviously resolved whatever issue(s) they had but sadly they don't proactively attempt to locate and fix all impacted accounts.

The WM RCI portal is working for me this morning

Mortimer, we're back! I didn't realize the RCI site was down so often.

Also working for me. Whew! You never know when they've messed up one's access.
