elara Maybe they are wanting me to sign at a price of 18k with 14k bonus points every other year 3650 points idk i need advice
The deal isn’t worth it. If you increase the points, you will increases the cost dramatically. Bite the $2k and go get a Vegas 2 bedroom platinum from The Boulevard or Paradise for around $5k-$6k from the resale market. You will have a great deed and pay a 3rd less for 4 times the points every year. You won’t have Max, but many here, including me believe that it’s not a big deal.

FYI - That studio deed they are selling is a dog. It’s pretty much useless and you will have a very difficult time getting rid of it if you need to.
Exactly it’s the studio deed with little to no liquidity that’s why they are throwing on the bonus points im sure I wish I could get the deal without the deeded property and just be HGVMAX with points lol

Okay final question what if I just ge them to give me points and HGVMAX no deeded title with the points would that then be a good deal?
I am not aware that is an option. HGV Max isn't something you own. You get it through ownership in one of the programs.

I am not sure what that means. There are VIP packages where you buy one-time points to use. The intent of that is to get someone hooked by letting you stay in a HGVC property. Then there is actually buying into the system. There is the option to buy a deed in HGVC or Hilton Club or buy trust points in Diamond/Hilton Vacation Club. Either option of buying, gets you hooked long term and if you want to get hooked long term, then I would look at resale first.

Since I haven’t signed anything officially I don’t need to rescind anything right guys just decline the notary services and call CS to cancel and rescind?

correct. I would contact them to say that you have changed your mind and do not want anything other than the VIP package. Then call the VIP CS to see if they can extend your deadline.

HGV I paid back in oct of 2022 for a elite vip package at end of presentation wife and i forgot with work about it did not book in time and now they want to take the $1800 package but are offering me essentially HGVMAX with I believe like 16k bonus points ... I see the main value in the points obviously
Boy, I just don't get how people go for this stuff. You bought an $1800 vacation. Due to work, etc you FORGET to actually use it before it expired. Now, you're excited to get a bunch of bonus pts, which will have a few restrictions, incl they will expire.
Do you actually think you would use the whole 16,000 pts? You better input "shrinkage" into your calcs. HGVC is.

almost certainly, you won't use the entire 16,000 pts. Redo your calcs. It is not you. It is almost universal. People fall for the same trap over and over

Facts I do have family that travels a lot I just don’t know if I’m allowed to use those points and sell them to family and stuff even so I see secondary market cheaper so yeah I’m gonna try and back out and rescind

Here is the universal truth on "Bonus Pts": they are gold-plated lead. They will have a bunch of restrictions. Until anyone (not just you) completely understands ALL the restrictions, they are just a shiny object being pushed in front of your eyes. Once ALL the restrictions are understood, only then should people try to value them (SHRINKAGE).
This is hgvc? Sell your bonus pts? I'll defer to the experts who have had them, but I think not. You can't sell them.
Bonus pts? Before anyone leaves the room, they should have ALL the restrictions on paper and internalized all of them. Shiny Object.

strange & useful thing is I think I remember reading that BPts can be used to pay MFs. If you want to get a great idea of how much hgvc values BPts, find the exchange rate to pay MFs. That is their #. Anyone ever done that?

it was through the phone
I'm not laughing at you, but laughing b/c this reminds me of one of the funniest scenes in one of my favorite movies: Memento. Mr Memento has no short-term memory. He puts tattoos on his body to remind himself what the heck he is now doing with this life. In this scene, he is talking on the phone, telling somebody some pertinent stuff. Simultaneously, he is scratching a bandage that is covering a recent tattoo. He lifts the bandage. It reads "Never Talk On The Phone". He looks aghast, etc. Great film

I think you have options not considered. I'd reread the VIP Agreement and call them, before I write it off.

Mine says its $500 to not attend the Sale Presentation so for $500 more you get a week somewhere.

Alternatively, nurses can sometimes combine some time and get a few days. You are allowed to split in two stays. The $500 charge is for the first stay only.

I’m a little concerned I just called VIP concierge to book dates and they said that since we are already fulfilled equity we don’t have to attend presentation other than use the points within the time period being April. Does this mean we somehow got in the hgvmax system without having to pay initiation or have a deeded property? Regardless they did say to use the points and nights as stated in contract but now we don’t need a presentation which I find super weird

You already paid for the VIP, correct? If so, that is what they are referring to and there will be a presentation when you use it....that is part of the deal.

BTW, if you google "HGVC VIP Package", you will see many discussions about it on this forum.

I got an email welcoming me into Hilton grand vacations club and apparently I have “equity” they did a lot of stuff on the phone but I called and clearly cancelled the contract and the signing the notary also got notice of contract but over the phone we made a down payment of $90 but again never actually agreed or signed anything other than seeing what our options were. Very weird situation indeed probably gonna have to investigate deeper

until you sign the contract, it isn't real.

Perhaps they are considering you speaking with tele sales as to also be fulfilling the requirement of attending a presentation?
