Good hospice care can make all the difference in a very difficult and stressful situation for the family of someone who is soon to leave their loved ones. But, there is always the possiblily that you may encounter a caregiver who makes you uncomfortable. If you do, call in and ask that they be removed from the case. I had this happen and was thankful that I was able to be assertive. It made a huge difference in my mother's final days. And if they offer having someone come play the harp, be sure to say yes. It is unbelievable how soothing that is, both for you and your loved one. Wishing you strength for this very sad final journey together .with the love of your life.
