It’s been a long journey...but your husband is in good hands with hospice. We had Karen Ann Quinlin Hospice for my mom and mom in law in our home....the caregivers were the best, and the RN in both cases knew when it was time to gather the family. Please remember to be good to yourself.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope his remaining time is good, however long it may be. Take care of yourself. I know many hospices have groups to support the family, too. Sending good thoughts your way.

Oh dear. Continue as you have, because you have the strength. Deal with one day, one task at a time. Your husband knows you are taking good care of him.

What a journey you've both been through. I hope at the end of it that you take time for yourself as you've had so much to have to handle. So sorry.

Good hospice care can make all the difference in a very difficult and stressful situation for the family of someone who is soon to leave their loved ones. But, there is always the possiblily that you may encounter a caregiver who makes you uncomfortable. If you do, call in and ask that they be removed from the case. I had this happen and was thankful that I was able to be assertive. It made a huge difference in my mother's final days. And if they offer having someone come play the harp, be sure to say yes. It is unbelievable how soothing that is, both for you and your loved one. Wishing you strength for this very sad final journey together .with the love of your life.
