I have been very happy with my 2nd generation Genesis sedan with a direct injection V6. While it is not a sport sedan, it really gives a lot of bang for the buck for a "german" type ride.
My dad was an enthusiast of the Buick and Cadillac cars, I nearly crashed in a Buick LeSabre rental when I took a turn aggressively in that soft suspension. The later Caddies did address the suspension, but I'm still not a fan.
My BIL is a fan of the panther platform and he found a pristine Mercury Marauder and is happy with it. Its nice, but I would have to mod it to make it meet my driving expectations. I would fit it out like a police pursuit cruiser. Stiffer suspension.
My next car is going to be '22 Genesis GV70. While it is not a sport SUV, it will perform adequately for my needs. The twin turbo V6 has more than enough power (375 BHP) and the chassis is based on a rear wheel drive car, but is AWD. Also, it is an 8 speed automatic, not a CVT. Yeah, it would have been better with an 8 speed DCT, but this will do. I would LOVE to see what the Hyundai N-Line team could do to this car, but for me, it's good enough.
