This morning, we had an even more spectacular view from our seventh floor balcony at Maui Ocean Club

So, we're wrapping up our second week at Maui Ocean Club, and I realized I posted our view from the balcony for our first week in Lanai Tower above, but failed to post our week 2 view from fifth floor Napili Tower 1BR OF. Here it is:

Honestly, even though our week 1 was OV and week 2 was OF, I think both my wife and I actually prefer the ocean views we had in the original towers with the pool in the view also. There's something about those views I posted in posts #853 and #854 that are special to us, even though they are OV not OF.

On to the Big Island tomorrow to HGVC King's Land.

To be honest, I didn't stay there but I'm sure it did. I had a unit I ended up not planning to use and gifted it to a young couple soon to be married that were not enjoying a studio at the Surf Club, the son of a TUGGER and a nice young man. My only request of them to get me the view pictures, party because I wanted to see if they honored the view of the exchange (they did). The used it 5 nights sine they were leaving the Saturday and checked into this unit on Monday though it started 2 days earier. It's entirely possible the unit assignment would have been a higher floor had it been checked into on Saturday but there's no way to know for certain.

Hi Dean….Thanks for the pics…my wife and I will be at the Ocean Club in a few weeks through a II exchange……It’s a 2 BR 2BA Ocean Front Villa(ZZAB)....Im very happy to hear that the OC honored the view.

I was just there in September. I didn’t have any issues with our unit at all. I thought it was in great shape. They have even started doing the mid-week clean & tidy again for a full week reservation.

Are you currently at the Surf Club? Some people have been telling me that the rooms are looking tired, outdated and even dirty. Has this been your experience?

Just got back Monday and that was not my experience at all. Bed was comfortable, furniture seemed fine and cabinets were OK. Tile and Carpet also in good shape. Just saw the on 2 BR OV in Spyglass. The staff was beyond great. The only issue was the poolside lounges and the enforcement and staffing was definitely far less than the last few trips. Had an AC issue in the studio side but they came up 3 different times sand worked hard getting it fixed. I was sure they'd need an AC person but they got it done. Delivered all the supplies as requested and quickly.
