If you will not be present and she is not on the II account, you will either have to get a guest certificate or negotiate directly with the resort for her to be able to check in otherwise. Technically you would need a guest certificate. You may be able to upgrade your account with II to Platinum and get free guest certificates. Remember you are now outside the MVC umbrella by exchanging even if back into a MVC resort.
Your guest certificate needs to be purchased directly from II and has nothing to do with the MVC form. Just because she has the same last name doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have to purchase a guest certificate. If she isn’t on the ownerships a guest cert is needed.
You may not think you should have to, but according to the rules governing II trades, you need to. There may be workarounds, but these could fail and your daughter could be refused at check-in.
Are you not going at all? Are you arriving later than everyone else? Does your husband share your ownership? Is he part of your corporate II account? If so, did you put his name on the exchange if he’s arriving first? If you’re using the exchange and your daughter is joining you, there’s no need to purchase an II guest certificate unless she is the one checking in prior to you. The guest of owner form relates to reservations made directly by you with MVC, not II exchanges.

Then you need to pay for the II guest certificate in order for your daughter and her hubby to check in to the exchange since you are arriving 6 hours later. Or, as another post suggested, see if you can upgrade your II membership and then use one of the free guest certificates that comes with that level.
You may be able to get the resort to add them as a guest and let them check in early in this situation. It's possible they may not allow it but I've never been denied that option though I know they have tightened up on this in the last few months. I'd start by calling the resort and discussing with them.
Or just buy a GC. Aren't they $60? Seems like a cheap way to ensure my daughter can check in.

I know we are all about saving money here, myself included. But in the end, it all seems like a lot to worry about.

Then the way I understand it is, as an owner, I cannot rent from another owner (or vice versa) if checkin is within 30 days, but I can rent/stay by booking through Bonvoy? Seems contradictory. Am I understanding this correctly?
You can get the guest name form changed in under 30 days, they just don't like having to do it.
You can certainly change the guest name within 30 days. Changes take only a few days. The 30 days is just MVCs way of covering their butt. The MVC rental program is much different than doing it yourself. When you have MVC rent it, you just give them the week and they pay you.
I tried finding some info on the MVC owner site and didn't turn up anything. You probably need to call Marriott. I believe you first have a reservation and call MVC to see if they are willing to accept it for rent. They may not be willing to even take certain resorts or weeks. If they are accepting them, they will offer a fixed rental fee. This fee may change depending on current inventory and demand. If you accept, they take the week and send you a check.
