I didn't know anythingaobut Stever Jobs until he die. I live under a rock.
But what gave me pause about how 'sainted' he is beign portrayed since death is a few personal actions he'd taken in his life. Personal, moral decisions.
Like fathering a child and then claiming to be sterile in court to avoid paternity charges. This was approx. 25 or so years ago when paternity tests weren't a dime a dozen. What was he willing to do to a child to save his own skin? What was he implying about the mother of that child to essentially say, you don't know who the father is (you slut) because it couldn't have been me, but not because we didn't have sex (you slut). What did he do to that woman's life by abandoning her and HIS child? He later admitted the child and 'reconciled' with her.
Apparently he was also ok with lying and cheating Steven Wosniak out of about $4,000 (round number) when they were both poor starving students. Mr. Wosniak reports this incidence in his biography so ok, maybe it's not all true, but still...
I am ok with not speaking ill of the dead per say, but to only focus on the good isn't a balanced/realistic view of a person's life either.
Maybe the best thing is to say "He did great things. But he did scummy things too. Like most of us do. He was human, not a god."
