Is Club Open Season Rental very useful?

open Season can be hard to use, however I can recommend RCI Extra Vacations for some absolute steals. Using my generic RCI account (I have a generic timeshare so I don’t waste my HGVC points on RCI exchanges) I was able to book Central @ 5th as an Extra Vacation 2 months in advance for only $950 for a week in September with no resort fees listed.

Depending on your unit type and MF/pt, that may be more than the cost of points. Often, a week in studio in NYC via RCI is 3,840 points. If your MF/pt is 0.10, for example, then that is $384 for the week.

That also depends specifically on exchange inventory being available, as this was inventory that was in Extra Vacations only and not exchange inventory.

That is a good point. I don't know the difference in those but, I always assumed, that the cash deals where the same inventory just getting closer to the use date so trying to ensure they get rented out.

Given the exchange rates I’ve seen, there are a lot of RCI resorts that will put Developer Inventory into Extra Vacations, but restrict exchanges just to the inventory assigned for exchanging.
