Is that true? I’ve stayed in both and the 1 bedroom patio seemed almost the same size as the 2 bedroom.

I must be mistaken. We didn't stay in the 1BR but we toured it. If it's the same size, that's luxurious! Thanks for the correction!

It is essentially the same unit without the back bedroom & 2nd bathroom.

We stopped reserving 1 bedrooms with timeshare exchanges as last time we were put in the lowest mountainside floor over the valet. The view from the bedroom was of an air conditioner. Truly not the Hyatt experience. This time we had a 2 bedroom on the 9th floor. We booked a 1 bedroom ocean view with hotel points the day prior and they coordinated our stay so we were in the 2 bedroom the whole stay. No other timeshare would do that! We also were invited to the owner's social even though we were here on an internal Hyatt exchange and not Kaanapali owners yet.Maybe one day but we truly don't need 6 timeshare weeks.

Yes, we would only stay in the oceanview side.

Chase Reserve is definitely a partner with Hyatt hotels. I transfer Chase points to Hyatt all the time at 1:1.

I booked through Redweek and for view it was “varies” we got ocean view when checked in. What does “varies” means? On some rentals it say “mountain” which I understand but confused with other???

I would compare the Redweek prices with Hyatt's cash rate and Hyatt points to determine which makes more sense. I usually use Hyatt points if the cash rate will be more than 2 cents per point.

No Hyatt Kaanapali is never in II. We did an internal Hyatt exchange with our Hyatt Pinion Pointe week.

An owner will list “varies” if they reserved a unit using CUP points. The view will be disclosed upon check in. If it lists “ocean” or “mountain” that is what they own. You hit the jackpot by getting an ocean view unit.
