This weeks picture takes us back to Oahu in Waikiki overlooking the Ala Wai Canal and the Ko'olau Mountains.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday from our nation capital. It is a breeze 34 degrees. We are staying at the Riggs Hotel downtown DC. for the weekend..Awesome Thanksgiving Dinner at Carmines last night; for 34 family members.

Happy Aloha Friday from rainy Salem Oregon. How much did you pay per pound for your Turkey. We paid 39 cents per pound at Safeway?

Ours was on sale for $2.69 a pound but we got it free with our points we had from Misaki's Grocery store.🤙🏻

Happy Aloha Friday! It's been a bit cooler this past week. It was 67 degrees when I woke up 2 days ago. Currently sunny and not a cloud in the sky. It's currently 71 with a high of 82. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day! DW returned home yesterday (after visiting DS and DD for about a month) and we had dinner with great friends.

Here's a pic from Kualoa Ranch shortly after we moved here in 2019.

But how much did you have to,spend over a year's time to earn enough points for a free turkey. I guess it does not matter as you were going to buy the groceries anyway.

We don't use our points much and we didn't even use a quarter of the points we have to get the free turkey. We spend $100 to $200 a week. 🤙🏻

Happy Aloha Friday!!! It's December already and it will be Christmas before you know it.

This week's picture keeps us here on Molokai and out to the Kaunakakai Wharf which is the longest Wharf in the state of Hawaii. We had just had some showers in town and we all know what that means. 🌈

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌴🌺😎

Happy Aloha Friday!

These pictures show why I'm very happy to have finished booking all the flight segments for our trip to Kauai next month. To break up the long trip, we usually stop over for a night or two somewhere on the west coast. We like to book early, but Delta and Alaska like to keep changing or canceling the flights. Drives me crazy. :wall: This year we'll stop over in San Diego on the way out and Portland on the way back. We can't wait!

Happy Aloha Friday from a chilly morning in Coastal Virginia . It was predicted for snow and rain. But, we will receive only rain. That much snow in Coastal Virginia would closed everything down for todays. Artringwald, LOL, you can have all that snow. It so beautiful and peaceful. Nice photos.

Good morning slip, LOL, how in the world can you rise up so early in the morning and post on this thread. I’m now just learning it is so nice to lay in bed and read TUG, after 7:00AM.

I bet slip, has gone back to bed.

When we lived in Greenbelt MD, we got a 27" snowstorm that didn't break the record. Most of the cars in the parking lot were just bumps in the snow. Shortly after we moved here they had a 26" snowstorm that broke the record. The difference was that the snow in MD melted within a week. In MN, it took months. I was also surprised that cars here would even start at -20. Cars in MD would have trouble if it was 10 degrees out. I guess in MN, they formulate the gas differently and sell bigger and better car batteries. 😁

Happy Aloha Friday. I spent the week in Seattle. Weather was definitely different. It's currently 47 with a high of 54 and rain in the morning. I. Hate. Cold. Rain. Fortunately, I fly home today.

Had a great view from the hotel. Sunset pics from the day I arrived.

26” of snow in Coastal Virginia everything would be closed for three to four days..schools, cities, state, federal offices buildings would be closed and only essential military personnel would report to duty). Grocery stores shelves would be empty of candy, food, milk, bread, can goods and everything in their stores.

Happy Aloha Friday !!!

Weather here is nasty cold , wet and foggy here. Managed to service one of the snowblowers. Waiting on parts for one of the oldest I own snow blower. I think the more effort I put into the snow blower , plow and deicer the less likely I am to need them. It's a La Nina year so there should be snow unless someone sneezes sideways so I like to be ready or not here, lol.

It's the Christmas Parade in Waimea a while back.

Happy Friday from Kauai: Aloha! - Today we start our 3rd week on Kauai - we're having a great time - mostly lazy! But we are walking 2 miles almost every day. This morning we walked 4 miles because we walked clear to the Sheraton. We were back by 9:30, but we still got pretty hot! 🌞

Happy Aloha Friday from The First Coast. It was a busy day but I was able to sit on the patio for about an hour this afternoon. The thermometer hit 80 today! It was partly cloudy but it sure felt beautiful! The pic below was taken on a stroll through the neighborhood.

For the last several years, when we go to Hawaii, we stay overnight at the Sheraton, Harbor Island. That way we don't have to worry about a pick-up car, traffic or freeway issues. They have Sheraton shuttles to get you to or from the terminal and they start at O-dark-O'clock. I can use my Marriott Bonvoy points there.

For the same reasons you mentioned, we have often stayed at the Hilton Harbor Island, just around the corner from the Sheraton. Our timeshare is now owned by Hilton, so when we pay our maintenance fees with a Hilton credit card, we get big discounts at Hilton properties. This year we'll be staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton at Liberty Station, also close to the airport. In a little bit of serendipity, Homewood is right next to the USS Recruit. The USS Recruit is one of three landlocked ships that the Navy used for promotion and training. The Recruit was commissioned on the same day DW was born.

This is the second time we stayed at a Homewood property. The first time we stayed at a Homewood, there was a print of a painting in the lobby. The painting was one my father commissioned his broker/painter to paint from a photo. The artist liked the painting so much he made prints from it. I can't wait to see what kind of surprise we'll find in our third Homewood stay. 😁

Forgive me for asking this question. Is this Liberty Station in San Diego, CA . Where there is a Marriott’s Residence Inn; near the United States Marine Corp Depot? Are Homewood Suites or Hilton Harbor Island accommodations better in your opinion than the Marriott Residence Inn?

Does these hotels provide shuttle service from the airport to their hotels? So it sounds liked you stop in San Diego, Ca and then fly to Hawaii. What airlines do you used to fly to Hawaii?

I would liked to travel to Hawaii in 2026.

Thanks for any information, you can share or provide.
