When you look at the chart, home is a broad category which includes all of us who are not in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, not in jail, not homeless and not church. It does not mean that people who strictly stay at home. BS news is what I would call this.

According to Governor Cuomo, nearly 84% of the hospitalized cases were people who were not commuting to work through car services, personal cars, public transit or walking. He said a majority of those people were either retired or unemployed.

Lots of shared spaces in NYC. They could have picked it up in the mailroom, laundry room, elevator or lobby.

This. What is a daily routine in NYC looks cramped and crowded to the majority of U.S. citizens. I live in a mid-sized city (200,000 population) and have not been in a mailroom or laundry or elevator in months. No bus no subway no pizzeria or deli.

But the chart does not say that. If so, that category should have been split up into stay at home and people going out.

Agreed. But while the chart doesn't say that, the Governor does, and that was the point of the press conference.
