Welk Escondido
1 week every other year - odd year. Floating time. 2bdrm lockout unit which means you can use 1/2 of the unit one week and the other half another week or you can use the whole unit at one time. Will accomodate 6 people. The resort is nestled on 450 acres in the hills about 40 minutes north of San Diego. The resort has 8 swimming pools, several club houses and 2 golf courses. It is located within a short drive to the San Diego Zoo's wild animal park, Temecula wineries and many additional amenities.
 
I've got 5 timeshares and don't need another. But this is a great deal. I understand that Welk/Hyatt trades well. Also the home resort is nice. (I live about 5 miles away and love the area).
 
What are MF on this resort?

You mentioned you last paid MF in 2021. Was nothing due in 2022 - ie only paying in odd years?
 
It is an every other year (odd year) timeshare. 2023 will be the next use year.
 
Is this Villas on the Green? They lock off into 1br with full kitchen and 1br with Limited Kitchen.
 
Which years do you pay the approx $1385 MF - every year or only use years? Both exist for EOY , fyi.
 
I pay it only in the years that I use it which is every other year (odd years)
 
I am not in the market to own another timeshare as I am already paying $12K+ in MF per year, but I want to mention that this would make a good trader in II. You get 2 weeks of exchange by locking off the unit.
 
Yes it is, and the resort has 2 golf courses and is located in a beautiful area only 1/2 hour from the coast and the north San Diego costal communities.
 
This is a bargain for someone. In addition to what the OP mentioned, it is close to the Temecula wine country, to about a dozen Escondido wineries, plus the San Diego wild animal park, great hiking at Lake Hodges and Daly Ranch, plus Anza Borrego and many other locations.

I live about a mile or two (as the bird flies) from Welk. It is a nice area.

You didn't mention who is paying the various transfer costs - if you are, I'll take it.
 
I don't know what the transfer costs will be, but I'm willing to pay up to $1,000.00 of the costs.
 
The department that handles the transfers will be open on Monday. I will attempt to ascertain what the transfer cost will be and how to proceed at that time if you are still interested.
