I’m waiting for my flight in the Hilo airport now.

I want to say that although I didn’t have an lot of time to check out much, I really enjoyed Hilo and it definitely makes me want to come back and check out this side of the island more.

This is another one of those times when I think I could live on the Hilo side of the island. The only deal breaker for me is all the rain. I checked and the average yearly rainfall is 130 inches, way too much for me. I love the area and I even saw some condos that were affordable. This was one of the places that I looked at when we were trying to decide where we wanted to be.
I know I will be back for work but we need to come back and check out the Hilo side of the island more.

Back when we were considering retiring on the Big Island we were seriously thinking about the Hilo side. However, the area we were interested in is one that was pretty devastated from one of the last volcano flows.

Yes, I didn’t even bring that up.

I really enjoyed my stay. The people were great and it’s easy to get around.

I was only here for three days and when I left the all people I was working with Hugged me when I left and hoped I would be back soon. Awesome people.
