I forgot to mention, if you miss a day they also have a Facebook page where a number of people provide updates (and photos) throughout the day & night. It's a nice way to catch up on the activities at the nest.
I left it on most of the day. When the eagle on the nest screeched several times, my dog ran around the house looking for it. Then she came in to my office to protect me.
I did see 3 eggs in the nest when the mate returned and they switched places.
I did see the 3 eggs when the eagle repositioned herself. It look like there was a wind shift and the wind was now coming at the tail, so they repositioned to face the wind. You could see the eagle adjust the 3 eggs when they moved.
One of the eggs has now partially hatched - I just saw some fluff outside of the partially broken egg under the parent when it repositioned. Full hatching should happen any day now!
One of the adults is dressing out a small bird that it caught. Plucking the feathers out of it now. Will this be fed to the chick or be eaten by the adult?

Oh, I missed the chick feeding, it's tucked safely back in now. But I think I saw a black bear cub skipping along the road in the top left corner! It was there for just a minute before heading back into the brush …
OMG, there is a dead (baby?) bird next to the parent eagle in the nest. Not sure if it was dinner or one of the chicks died and was pecked apart. Saw a fuzzy baby under the parent. Someone is definitely controlling that camera while I'm watching.

I guess you missed post 12. The dead bird was lunch.
I saw the chick flapping wings this afternoon. 1 hatched 2 eggs remaining. Now here is where nature gets interesting. The first chick eats first. With no siblings to share with. Once more mouths come, then there will less food, per chick. However the first chick out may still gain a size advantage and one of the later eaglets born, my pay the price for their tardiness.
Feeding of two chicks going on right now, though it's hard to see as the parent's back is to the camera. It looks cold and snowy. Third egg still there.
I love the cute black masks across the babies' eyes!
Edited later: Ugh, what timing! An ad popped up right at feeding time! After the ad cleared I saw both parents on the nest and the 'changing of the guard.'
This has happened to me too - just when it's a perfect time one of those ads pops up. But that just means I have to come back later! I am so addicted to this, as I am every year - LOL!
