Do I need points deposited in RCI to be able to search availability?

I am a new resale owner and I'm trying to access the RCI portal but all it allows me to do is deposit points and I don't seem to be able to search RCI availability?

The RCI portal doesn't require you to deposit points in order to search.

Can you see the option that says "Search and Confirm RCI Reservations"? If so, what happens when you select that option?

No, it actually attempts to load the RCI page when I click the search link and then it skips forward to the Wyndham points banking page??

Maybe it's something wrong with the system setup as you mention that your account is new. When you click on the search link, it's supposed to come up with a disclaimer from Wyndham that you need to click to proceed and then another disclaimer from RCI. You might try another browser, since these might not be popping up for you.

If all else fails, perhaps try calling the RCI Service Line for Club Wyndham Plus at 800-572-0931 (I think that this is a different group than Owner Care or VCs).

Yes, that disclaimer does appear briefly and then it jumps ahead to the Wyndham points bank. I've sent an email to Wyndham so hopefully they can sort it.

Getting to RCI opens a new window, rather than using the window you have; if you have your browser set not to allow that, you probably need to make the wyndham site an exception.

You're a new resale owner... how new? It may take Wyndham a few more weeks to get your RCI account set up. Give Wyndham a call and ask them for your RCI account number. See whether you actually have one yet or not.

Yes, if you're a new owner, call Wyndham for an update on the status of your RCI account. Sometimes it helps for them to have that nudge.
