I'm confused as to why people think this is an improvement. The Sheraton week that I own and paid to add to my personal II account is no longer showing. This is not a SVN corp. account. It is mine. They have no right to mess with my personal account. I can no longer do searches or deposits online. Where is the improvement?????

No one knows what the missing weeks mean, but the improvement is that all voluntary/resale owners can now select and deposit the week of their choice, directly through II.

Hopefully, more info. will come out about the non-deposited weeks.

When you log onto II, click on the Exchange Tab, and then click My Units, what do you see? I see my nondeposited week and buttons for:

Vacation Exchange
Cruise Exchange
Shortstay Exchange
Place Request
Deposit

If I click on "Vacation Exchange," I can search with the undeposited week, just like before.

So to me, it looks like it's just set up a little different than it was in the past.

I've done that all along! I call SVO, reserve the week I want and deposit it if I so choose with whichever exchange company I wish. Often I do a little searching to see what's available at II before I decide whether to give them my week. If I can't search, they aren't getting my deposit. It will go to SFX or TPI.

ETA:My Desert Oasis unit is missing from my list of resorts.

Me too! My unit is missing, too, and all the other years for other resorts are missing, so I currently can't search. Very confused  .

As discussed in another thread, about 50% of the time owners have been able to deposit their own week, so you must have been in the lucky 50%.

The set up is different now. Try this;

Click on Exchange
Then click on the "My Units" button.
Then see if the next page lists your registered resorts
Then click on Vacation Exchange, to use it to search with

I do that, and it does not list all my resorts, only the weeks I have on deposit. It does not list anything but deposits, no weeks available to deposit and my one resort is missing. I can't say I am happy at all about whatever they are doing.

Like Denise L my unit is not listed. Gone. I can't do a search if it isn't there to search with. My other resorts are all there, just Sheraton is missing. I am POed. That is my personal account not Starwood's. How dare they mess with my account.

I agree......As an non-SVN owner, I have always booked my weeks with SVO, and then deposited them on my own into my II account. Now, it looks like I would need to call II, and have them deposit my weeks, after booking them with SVO.

Also, the ability to do searches before depositing seems to be gone.

No advantage that I can see......I guess we'll have to wait, and see what transpires.

Then my guess is that the process is still not complete, and we should give it a few days for everything to be set up. Maybe that's why Starwood hasn't made an announcement yet.

It doesn't make any sense that we would lose the ability to search online - everyone has that, so maybe it's not set up yet.

When I login to my non-SVN II account and click on "My Units," I get this message:

Error Detected

Your membership file does not indicate eligibility to place an exchange request as of todays date please review your relinquishment/deposit history. Please contact our Membership Services Department if your membership file requires revision.

I guess this makes sense since I've already deposited & exchanged my 2010 units. I'm assuming 2011 weeks will show up eventually.

I just realized my Villas of Cave Creek is also missing. Until recently that wasn't even an issue since it was never part of Sheratons network. Starwood is trying to get owners there to join. I declined since it would just add another yearly fee. I often exchange that one and now I can't do any searches. As far as I'm concerned this is being handled VERY POORLY. Hear that Starwood? Your attempt to control non-network owners is getting worse by the minute.

Denise, I think u r missing what people are saying - their weeks are GONE - there is no place to 'see' your registered resorts as they are MISSING from the 'units' page. They were there yesterday and now they are totally gone from the my units page.

I can only 'see' the two weeks I deposited last week...I can not 'see' my one undeposited 2010 week or the 3 undeposited 2011 units that I could see yesterday - they are GONE.

I called up II as I was greatly dismayed by this apparent change and a seemingly strong arm tactic to control non-SVN weeks. Here's the good news that II rep Sheila reported to me: The reason for the change is that as of today, non-SVN weeks will be able to deposit entirely through II. We will not have to go through Starwood. She said the change was effective today and probably would be communicated by Starwood to us soon. I was very relieved. This seemed like genuine information as the rep. was able to speak intelligently about the difference between SVN (which she described as corporate) and non-SVN weeks.

Hooray:cheer: Let's see if she speaks the truth.

We can only hope that this is correct - but 'removing' the weeks from our accounts seems rather 'extreme' especially as it was done without the owners (us!) knowledge and consent.

Good Intentions, Poor Execution?

Testing in a live environment?

No pop up stating "under construction" or "be patient while we work out the bugs"

Who is running the project, if there is, in fact, a project?

Maybe we get a real time reservation system tomorrow!

That's my problem, exactly. I can't see my one undeposited 2010 week or the four undeposited 2011 units...

At least I am not alone, and huddling here with good company makes me feel sort of better :) . But still. If someone calls the II Starwood desk and gets a good explanation, let me know. In the meantime, I can pretend that I am still in a rented motorhome, traveling across California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Oregon, longing for a good night's sleep in my new W Bed :hi: .

No, I understand what they are saying, but I can see my undeposited week when I click on "units." I also see buttons with all the usual choices (see above) So I am guessing that they haven't completed the change over, or they are still working the kinks out.

Since II is still open, maybe someone who can't see their undeposited weeks could call. I would call, but since I can see mine, it makes no sense for me to call.

OT, it was a pretty trip, seeing parts of our beautiful country. But more than twice I was missing my timeshare weeks, staying in one place for a whole week and not packing up camp every day. Thoroughly exhausting. I love my timeshare weeks. I'm sure this II drama will be resolved...

I do! Never a dull minute around here! :D

BTW - remember when I said I didn't like exchanging, and you said I would when I got some voluntary weeks to play with? - Well, you were RIGHT! ;)

My weeks are also missing. I already exchanged my EOY even lockout weeks for 2009, and it isn't showing for 2011 at all, but it was before. I hope II doesn't make me pay $89 AGAIN to add that week in 2010.

Also, my 2010 week for my annual SBP 2 bedroom is no longer showing. I haven't gotten a deposit yet, because I didn't want to pay the fees for it quite yet.

Let's hope II works it all out.
