Has anyone heard if MVCI is continuing this project? Hoping Covid has not impacted it.

It was mentioned on the 4th quarter earnings call, so would think so. Along with Waikiki.

CR is one of my favorite places in the world. The Marriott Autograph at Punta Islita is fantastic. Four years ago we got a great AAA rate on their three bedroom villa-which is more of a two building "compound" with pool. Comes with golf cart. I'm missing it now! The JW ain't bad either. Its a sprawling wonderful resort, but not as authentic CR as Punta Islita.

We stayed at the Costa Rica location as hotel guests and loved it and the surrounding area! Looking forward to returning. Pura Vida !

We also stayed at Los Suenos in 2016 and loved it. We returned to Costa Rica in 2018, but not there, so we are looking forward to returning!

Tamarindo is my favorite beach town, further north in Costa Rica.

Are there any other plans to expand into Mexico, Cancun? I know there has been some discussion about this in the past? Or are they looking at Lagunamar filling this need?

I haven’t heard any, and after reading the text of the MVCI investors call yesterday I’m not sure whether they’re freezing the Costa Rica project or not, so I’d think a new Mexico project would be out.

Just got the email as well and looking at dates. This is exciting. It doesn't appear to be extremely expensive in terms of points. Then again, I don't know when the prime months are. Possibly opposite of US prime seasons since they're closer to the equator. End of August through 1st week of November appear to be the least expensive at roughly 2000 points for the week.

Costa Rica rainy season is May through November, August and September are wettest, and when I say rain, I do mean serious rain. With that also comes humidity and bugs, but It is a very beautiful country, and I look forward to visiting this resort. We have stayed primarily in the northwest are which is typically warmer and dryer.

Here is the points chart for those interested.....

Resort Map.... MVC villas appear to be in orangish building(s) in upper left quadrant of map by the lone smaller pool.

Anyone know how many MVC units there actually are?

We stayed at Los Suenos in 2008. The town of Jaco was known for its prostitution. The prostitutes were using Los Suenos to ply their trade. It was awful. We used Marriott points to book it- Marriott gave them back to us!

I got the email from Marriott and then looked for this resort in the Interval International directory but don't see it.

Does anyone know the Interval code(s) for this resort?

Probably not added yet.

Just booked a week in early March. Two bedroom. Been to CR 3X but always to Guanacaste. Looking forward to this. Actually canceled Hawaii to do it. Can't wait.

Hey Steven (Todd Kagler here from the FB thread), high season in CR is December to April-dry season. Then it starts moving to rainy season. July-October is the wettest time of the year. Often have to drive through streams crossing the dirt roads. Quite an adventure.

Hey Steven, I tried booking just now with DP but it does not show up online. Out of interest how did you book?
