Can Bank Weeks from RCI Resorts with Wyndham RCI Account?

I know Wyndham TY come with RCI memberships. I have two other non-Wyndham TS resorts participating in RCI. Am I able to bank them using the Wyndham-affiliated RCI account?

Yes but you have to get wyndham to set up the rci weeks account for you.

If you have another RCI account that you pay for yourself and it is not linked to another resort system such as Worldmark or another points system, you can close it and have those weeks moved to your Wyndham weeks account. If Wyndham has not yet opened your account, you can give them the number of your current account and they will just take over paying for it. If you’ve paid ahead a few years you can even get a refund from RCI.

Yes, I have a Wyndham Paid RCI Weeks account which is separate from the portal access through Wyndham website. In that RCI Weeks account I deposit other NON-Wyndham weeks.

It's been a while since I did it, but you ask Wyndham for your RCI member number, and then you can create a login on the regular RCI site.

I'm not sure if you can deposit a legacy Wyndham weeks reservation or not since I've never tried it (Sandy seemed to indicate no), but you can certainly deposit other weeks ownerships. I deposited quite a few when I owned my Bluegreen Christmas Mountain UDI, and I've got about 70 TPUs remaining to use up.

I meant NO for deposit for converted fixed weeks, as they show up on Wyndham website. If you have an unconverted fixed I assume they can be deposited. I know non-wyndham weeks CAN be deposited.

I recall a conversation about this a little while back... and we were trying to determine if Wyndham was still issuing these types of RCI accounts. A lot of us had RCI Weeks accounts that login using RCI.com, paid by Wyndham, before Wyndham introduced the portal accounts. Any new members in recent years with this type of RCI account?

I mean, when I first purchased resale 9 years ago, Wyndham set up my RCI account with access through the portal, plus I received my RCI member number which I was able to use to set up my account to log in directly through RCI.com. I don’t know if newer owners are still able to do that but when I did it it was after the advent of the portal. I don’t actually own any fixed weeks to deposit there, but I can log in and I could book last calls, etc if I wanted to.

Didn’t we still have “generics” nine years ago? I thought that was before the current portal mechanism. I guess time really does fly!

I suppose you’re correct in that while I made my first eBay purchase almost exactly 9 years ago, my account wasn’t created until January 2011, just a matter of days after the RCI portal went live - so just over 8.5 years ago. And I believe owners were still making use of their previously deposited generics for some time after that.
