I wonder where that restriction pops up? I can get all the way through a mock booking up to the credit card payment screen on a stay longer than 4 nights.

I did a couple test bookings where I got to the last screen and was able to choose 14 day bookings, and it gave me the option to use cash or points, I was able to do both. Maybe that's a change they made since implementation.

Also interesting that the VIP unlimited HK only applies when using points, and I would be for hybrid users that if you began the booking using resale points it would force you to use a HK, which I guess makes sense.

If they are indeed limiting it to 4 nights, that is more in line with how Worldmark Bonus time is set up, although they dont limit you to once per quarter. I think that you can only have one BT booking at a time though.

I do see value in this even with these limitations. One of the things that seems to be nice is you can get suite upgrades and then the cash price is reflected on the initial suite cost, not the upgraded suite

I tried to make a 5 day booking just now using cash and it worked fine though (I didn't click purchase), but got all the way up to the purchase screen. Unless it errors out at the point you click purchase, I'm not seeing this 4 day restriction.

Added Bonus Time details I saw tonight in someone's post on Facebook.

Limit of 4 nights. Another limit of one bonus time reservation per quarter, so 4 per year.

I've tried every way I can think of, to no avail, to find the Bonus Time details on the website.
Where did they get that information, though? I'm pretty sure the 4 night limit is part of Worldmark's Bonus Time, which has already been shown to have multiple details that are different than Club Wyndham's. Unless it's a known knowledgeable owner (like, I know who I trust in those groups), I wouldn't trust a random post on FB for correct details on a brand-new program.

WorldMark does have a 4 night maximum for Bonus Time reservations. I think the facebook poster has confused the WorldMark restrictions with the new Club Wyndham Bonus Time benefit. Here is the quarterly limit for Bonus Time in WorldMark from years ago:

11. Number of Bonus Time Reservations. An Owner may use as many Bonus Time reservations as possible within the following limitations. An Owner may have only one Bonus Time reservation until the reservation has been completed. If the Bonus Time vacation plan is to stay at more than one Club Resort, then the Owner may make the number of reservations needed, provided the combination of these reservations is for consecutive nights, and that the Bonus Time does not exceed four (4) nights. An Owner with 5,000 through 19,000 Vacation Credits may use only one Weekend Only Bonus Time reservation each calendar quarter. Owners with 20,000 through 29,000 Vacation Credits shall be entitled to two (2) Weekend Only reservations. One Weekend Only Bonus Time reservation shall be added for each additional block of 10,000 Vacation Credits owned by an Owner.

Wyndham removed the weekend-only BT restriction a few years back, so I doubt it is part of the Club Wyndham Bonus Time.

Exactly - my sense is that's someone from Worldmark making assumptions about Club Wyndham, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

The two active Bonus Time reservations at a time listed below obviously contradicts the fakebook post of only one per quarter.

In the email that came today, click on Learn More then go to the bottom of the page and click on website enhancements and updates (it's underlined in red). It gives the pertinent details for Bonus Time.

It says "up to two (2) active Bonus Time reservations are allowed in an account at once." I interpret that as there isn't a quarterly or annual limit on the number of BT reservations an owner can have. It doesn't say anything about how many nights you can book in one BT reservation or how close to the check in date we can book. I guess we can play around to find out about that part.

Do we know if there's a 24 hour cancellation window with BT reservations like there is with our regular reservations that are made within the 14 day window?

Some people think they were confusing it with Worldmark.

Or, even easier and for anyone who did not receive the email, it is all in post #131 from yesterday.

It's also available under the Sticky thread for Wyndham website updates here: https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/s...website-enhancements-page.362490/post-3110827

If anyone isn't subscribed to the Website update sticky thread - I'd recommend subscribing to that thread as I regularly post any/all updates on the website to this sticky thread to keep everyone duly informed. This is called "Watch" here on TUG - screenshot below for ease of reference. The screenshot says Unwatch - because I'm already watching the thread - if it says Watch - click it and it'll toggle to Unwatch - which indicates you are now "watching" or subscribed to this thread.

How far in advance of the stay did you book? And, is there a cancellation with refund time?

That's a very good deal. As a VIPP with free housekeeping, I could get into a 2BR DLX (not in Ocean Palm) with an upgrade for about $63 ($7/1000). If I went directly to Ocean Palms, it would cost $126 (VIPP 50% discount). Price without discount/upgrade would be $252 PLUS the Housekeeping Fee.

Worldmark is offering a heck of deal, IMHO. I really don't see Wyndham being so generous.
Booked a day ahead of leaving current reservation.
WorldMark Bonus Time is a program that allows WorldMark owners and guests to book a stay at a WorldMark resort at a discounted rate within 14 days of arrival:
  • Booking window
Owners can book up to 14 days before arrival, while guests can book up to 5 days before arrival.
    • Maximum stay
The maximum stay is four nights.

Let me tell you my findings so far using bonus time.

I have been able to use it twice on my trip, once at Fairfield Glade and once at Panama City Beach.

Both stops I had planned on being 1 night stops, so the idea of wasting a night worth of points becomes irrelevant when you can spend $25 cash to get a stay. Both stops upgraded from the smallest unit (studio, suite) to a 2BR Deluxe.

I hope this continues to be a thing, I could make a 2 bedroom work for my family of 5, particularly over the summers. $5 per 1000 is better than my MF and I never use all my HK credits.

Upgraded at check-in?

No, VIP instant upgrade.

If you begin the booking using VIP points, you are entitled to all the normal VIP perks like suite upgrades. So it goes through and if you can get an instant upgrade, you do. And when you get to the point where you can choose to use bonus time it bases that cash cost on the original suite cost, not the upgraded suite cost (with the VIP points discount factored in).

In my case it instant upgraded me from a studio or 1BR suite to 2BR Deluxe as part of the instant upgrade process. So my suite cost under $25 total per booking. Some of this had to do with luck, in the case of PCB, it just happened that there was an upgrade available, and it was from studio to 2BR not 1BR. At places like Fairfield Glade, especially this time of year, upgrades are almost a given. This was also booked during that 50% sale, so the costs were even less than normal VIP discounts, for me anyway. .

If you begin the booking using resale points or if you are resale only this wouldn't happen.

Do you have the ability to select Bonus Time when you have VIP eligible points?

I'm resale only and don't have the option for Bonus Time when I have use year points available.

Yes, does not matter whether I have points available or not. You get the option at Step 3 in the booking process. You can either use discounted points or the $5/1000 option. The option only shows up for reservations inside 14 days. Option does not show up for reservations outside 14 days.

I was of the impression that the option appeared regardless of which bucket of points were being used and regardless of UY balances. I have no resale points, so I can't test with Resale.

Resale only - I have been able to book no problems…
As @CYRUS2400 says you gotta pretty much go through entire booking process

Well... technically it did have a price. VIP didn't come free, did it?
Since the purchase price, whether resale or VIP, was a sunk cost before the introduction of Bonus Time, and the use of Bonus Time did not require any new purchase, Bonus Time is, technically and realistically, a free new benefit.

I missed a key requirement... 14 days or less.

Thanks for clarifying.
