Yes it does. Transaction credits cost $0 for online transactions (currently). It definitely is more of a benefit for those with unlimited or a lot of extra hk credits that they would otherwise let expire.

Even more expensive with HK going up in 2025.

Gee in the Worldmark System (from whence Wyndumb got the idea for Bonus Time) there is never a Transaction Fee and HouseKeeping is included with your Bonus Time Payment.

Well, someone does have to clean the unit. And someone has to pay those people. I don't see why it shouldn't be the person who stays there. The alternative would be to charge more per K for the reservation, but then those with left over HK credits that would otherwise just expire end up paying more.

It really depends on the individual account. I’m just a medium sized resale owner and I’m about to let 5 housekeeping credits expire tomorrow. I have more HK than I have time to squeeze in a short notice trip.

Exactly- I have been out of points since May but even with having used bonus time 2x since it started I will still have 2 last credits expiring tomorrow- for 2025 I am out of points with our upcoming reservations but have 5 housekeeping to use as long as they don’t shut the program down I will definitely be using them.

I get that the housekeeping credits are expensive but depending on the location it may still be worthwhile at some locations depending on length of stay…in big cities NY Atlanta ect probably worth it, Orlando Vegas probably not…

Same. I always have extra HK credits. If you generally stay in 2 br units, and generally for a week, HK credits are not an issue.

Bonus time is a wonderful thing.
4 nights in Orlando for under $100-
Good deal if you have free HK or extra HK, but now that HK is $185 we may find it hard to use.

Even if you have to pay for a credit, four nights for sub-$300 is still a pretty darn good deal.

I know right with my son’s wedding coming up we are already out of points but have a few HKs left. Even if we have to pay HKs the places we use Wyndham most it’s still incredibly cheap compared to hotel stays. I really hope they keep this program going forward.

I don't disagree. Though I was looking at four nights in Orlando, the Bonus Time price was $147, the HK added $185. So about $330 total. Not bad, but not great as we can often get II getaways for 7 nights for not much more. HK is more than doubling the price.

Yeah individual results vary - again I have HKs leftover but I definitely think it’s a good option to have.

While this bonus time is in Orlando most of the places I have used Bonus Time are not readily available in II. So far Atlanta and Smoky Mountains last minute. The key here, for me at least, is last minute-ridiculously short trips. Sure I could have absolutely gotten a full week with proper planning, but I had no intention of heading back to Florida one week after I got home.

Please nobody yell I know cardinal rule of timesharing is advance planning, but sometimes unexpected things pop-up and IMO that is what makes bonus time a good option. I was able to score tickets to preview the new Marvel movie at Disney Springs- so exactly 12 days to plan.

Using a getaway is great when you have time to plan but right now they are showing as $500 for a studio, 1 bd $900, and 2br for $1300 for the last minute check-ins that match my last minute flights. That’s a lot of extra cash for a movie lol.
