You are not renting Points but the Reservation. Also remember the approximate ratio is 13-16 Wyndham Points to 1 Worldmark Credit.

We have never used Bonus Time in 22 years. It is only a 2 week time fuze. We have pets and have to coordinate our very in demand House/Pet Sitter.

BT is 2 weeks out, but Internet Specials (3 months out) and Monday Madness (Random resorts changed weekly which are 10 months out) are both good options, that include HK in the price.

How far in advance of the stay did you book? And, is there a cancellation with refund time?

That's a very good deal. As a VIPP with free housekeeping, I could get into a 2BR DLX (not in Ocean Palm) with an upgrade for about $63 ($7/1000). If I went directly to Ocean Palms, it would cost $126 (VIPP 50% discount). Price without discount/upgrade would be $252 PLUS the Housekeeping Fee.

Worldmark is offering a heck of deal, IMHO. I really don't see Wyndham being so generous.
2 days in advance. I extended my wife's reservation for a few extra days. They added the 2 extra days to existing stay and no room change was necessary. I'm out of HK's and there is no HK required with bonus time.

Worldmark has some benefits Wyndham lacks. Overall Worldmark is a good value. Owning both helps to book room On dual resorts with Wyndham and Worldmark inventory. Availability may not be there for Wyndham but is often available with Worldmark.

I just booked at Sea Gardens a 2 bedroom deluxe in Ocean Palms for 2 nights $238 total cost. No housekeeping fee or taxes. 2 bedroom condo with full kitchen, 2 baths and a washer and dryer for $109 per night!
You will want to double check the arithmetic on that.

Why not?

Wyndham is just trying to monetize points for which they pay maintenance fees and would otherwise go unused, just like the success in WorldMark. WorldMark members love their Bonus Time; it is a win-win for Wyndham and members.

If Club Wyndham Bonus Time is limited to 14 days, like WorldMark, all the VIPs had their chance at upgrades, so why not offer Bonus Time at the $6-7/1000 points WorldMark equivalent calculated in post #13 above?

Five dollars per 1,000 points is pretty decent!

I can see using that option. I just did a test, myself to see exactly how it worked.

Lake Marion, next week. Booked a 2br for 22600 (with 50% discount) and upgraded it to a 3br. Cost, $113.00. Or $5/1000.

It did say that there would be a HK and RT Charge. For me, those are free. Very good deal when trying to conserve points. Actually, cheaper than the cost of the points.

Is bonus time deals available to resale only owners via WorldMark and Club Wyndham?
Yes for Club Wyndham. I’m resale only and was given the option.

What step in the process is the Bonus Time offered? I guess the question is, how far through do you have to go before the reservation is actually confirmed and points deducted?

Thank you- I am guessing I couldn’t see bonnet creek because it’s over 14 days

Good Job Wyndham, a win win for both owners and for Wyndham.

I'm assuming this does not require any RT or HK, correct?

I wonder if some people who bought retail up to VIP Bronze are upset, as it looks like this might give non-vip owners access to good or better discounts at their discount window.

EDIT: it's not their discount window, I was confusing this with their upgrade window, and that's different.

Step three in the booking process.

I just tried this for a 1BR stay at Clearwater Beach from 10/31 to 11/2, so definitely should be in the window to do this, I got to the screen where you chose traveller, and was never presented with this dialog. Is it after this? I didn't want to get stuck making this reservation because it's inside the "no cancellation" window.

Now, I can't try again because of the dreaded "multiple transactions in progress error".

One last thing, does anyone know if this works in conjunction with VIP suite upgrades?

It requires both an RT credit and an HK credit, but of course RT credits are still free.

So you have to pay for the HK on top of the cash fee? (if you have no HK left)
