Five. You know when you see a word and it just looks like it's spelled wrong? Yeah, that. :D

Two !! :D
Only cause I had a good starter and
this time due diligence paid off.

After starter my immediate reaction was to put the S & P at the beginning. With that , SPICY and SPILT were options. Putting the P at the end tho' , only the M made sense between the I and P, I-P. With the S at beginning the only word that fit was SKIMP. So I took a chance cause WORDLE Gods likes words with Ks.

That's why I needed twice that many --- all six!
Me, too! SIX it is!
Shattering my confidence not to worry much about bombing out.
There's a MOUSE in the HOUSE, LOL (is that a kids book or did I make that up). Why I would think of MOUSE last is beyond me.

I feel really badly about getting a three after my fantastic starter.
I will be joining a lot of people to produce a lot of SMOKE from our grills today. Alright! Four letters. Let’s do this! I’m thinking the M has to be first and the S fourth, MOxSE. MOUSE or…MORSE, maybe? MORSE is a name, but it is also a type of code. MOUSE is just too easy. The gods got me again!

Four. My already eliminated consonants helped.

Four. Matching that, there were four possibilities for the first letter. Fortunately second try was correct.

Five. So many choices for the first letter. Could easily have bombed out. :D

A 3 turned into a 4.

My lucky streak has ended.
5 today. The answer was a rhyme version
of one of my starter words. Too bad I
didn't go with that one...

I’ll be very happy with my four after a horrendous start.
This was one of those days where going with the first word that popped into my head bit me in the butt. SCRAM eliminated my first five letters. WHITE eliminated four more before giving me an E out of position. Staggering around my keyboard in search of a word that might help me out of my predicament, I saw BEGUN. Nah! That’s a terrible word. Or, maybe not. I decide to go with it and although it only rendered an out of position N, it probably saved me. My first thought was KNEEL but I didn’t really like it so I kept searching. Problem was, I had ruled out so many letters by now that I had few good options and just kept coming back to KNEEL. Fortunately, I finally got on my knees and begged the gods to let it be KNEEL.
