Amex Hilton (Aspire and Surpass Only) CC Changes

I believe that. Yeah, not sure if the guy was full of it or not, but he seemed pretty serious. He said he regrets not buying a few more since they’re over a million now and he’s already made his money back. And honestly it wouldn’t surprise me since that room goes for like $2k a night, especially during ski season.

Worst part of that upgrade is now my wife and kids judge every room by that standard. Even the Hyatt Kauai ocean view was just kind of meh. lol

Where did the Platinum card discussion move to?

I am liking this credit....it is a restaurant that we go to anyway...and if if you use it each quarter, then it pays for about half the card cost, then toss in the others plus lounge access, CLEAR, etc...and it definitely pays for itself.

I have been wondering the same thing. I think that I saw him on the slopes at Breck.
 
Curious if anyone has gotten the Aspire resort credit from a “qualified “ resort for their maintenance fees from a 1/1/26 purchase yet. Not panicking, but always worried that they’ll change something to end this perk.

I haven't seen it trigger for my Kingsland, yet, and I don't have a good feeling about it. Showed up as HILTON GV WKL HOA HIWAIKOLOA HI.

Same experience with Valdoro and Elara from late 2025 and early 2026. I do have an upcoming resort stay that will have some direct charges, so that should grab some credit on one of two cards. We generally don't charge a lot at the resorts, but might need to change that and/or drop one card if this is gone for me.
 
As a clarification, my resort is Elara HGVC. In the past it usually works automatically, though have had to request in chat lately, such as last fall‘s purchase.
