Abound Owners Sweepstakes [MERGED]

How much is the AARP discount?
It says "Up to 30% off Base Rates" and I've found that it actually often IS at least 20% and sometimes more. Plus, when you rent, you get a 3% credit that you can apply to your next rental within 12 months.

New to Abound. Won 500 Abound points. Two questions:

1) Can these sweepstakes points be converted to use Bonvoy? What is the exchange rate? (I know it is not great but looking at options to use since we plan to use our enrolled unit in the next few years.) We have a Euro trip planned with hotels.

2) The sweepstakes points expire in 2025. Do I need to save those points into future years? or is it automatic?

They can't be converted to Bonvoy. They can be used any time before they expire. They can be used for anything except, banking, borrowing, transferring or Bonvoy. You don't need to take any action to move them forward each year.

Has everyone received their points already? I won 1,000 Bonvoy points on 4/3 and 500 PlusPoints on 4/7. Have not seen anything new come into my account yet.

I won 500 points on 4/6 and received them in my account 4/27.

I received 500 Abound points a little over a month after won. Haven't seen the Bonvoy 1000 points yet.

The 500 PlusPoints we won on 3/19 showed up in our account May 1st..

I thought the sweepstakes finished Apr 9. Did I miss the memo by stopping?

I won 3,000 on March 1st and they still haven't posted. The last email from Helloworld (company running the sweepstakes):
Hello,

We sincerely apologize for the delay in the fulfillment of your reward.
Please reach out to directly to the Sponsor for assistance, you should provide your registered email address and Reward account information:
Owner Services: owner.services@vacationclub.com
Sincerely,
HelloWorld Customer Care

Yeah, I have to track down why their scam sweepstakes didn't work. I emailed owner services & filed a complaint on the Marriott website earlier this week. I haven't heard from either department.

Interesting. I won 500, and they also still haven't posted. Trying to be patient. If you don't mind reporting back, what you find that would be helpful. Maybe I need to reach out and figure out what's going on also. :/

It certainly wasn't a scam, many people won and were awarded prizes. I suspect there are always issue awarding some prizes in situations like this. The email you posted above, was that sent to you unsolicited or did you inquire and that was the reply?

I am having trouble receiving the multiple prizes I won as well. I too emailed HelloWorld and received back the above email to contact owner services. I really want the 500 missing plus points and the 4000 bonvoy points (1,000 x2 and 2000) and the Interval Platinum membership. I emailed owner services on Monday and no reply yet. Also, I have tried the chat feature for the last two days and never got connected to a representative after almost an hour where I then gave up both times. Talk about no customer service. Very disappointed in their "sweepstakes". Next, I guess I will have to file a BBB complaint. Don't want to but this is ridiculous since I was "confirmed" as an actual winner.

Did you respond to the email that they sent after you won where you had to input your address? Did you later get another email confirming? Did you keep copies of all these emails?

Yes, yes and yes. I responded and submitted the required information and I received subsequent emails that my wins were confirmed. The issue is I received some prizes but not all so I don't understand what the issues are with the remaining unfulfilled prizes.

Just got a 3,000 Bonvoy prize in my account. That took them a while. Still waiting on a few other prizes.

I believe that EVERY TIME you enter these MVC sweepstakes, that you are authorizing/refreshing MVC's right/ability to market to you, and the same may be said of MVC's partners. As a result, we don't enter any contests (as the contest is typically, NOT A CONTEST, but a way to validate email addresses, garner additional demographics on the entrants, and a "refresh" opportunity for the sponsor to renew your willingness to be marketed to/solicited by the sponsor, or whoever they may wish to see your demographic information to). In other words, MVC is data mining, and a contest is a very inexpensive way to do that.

Yeah, sure, it's not a scam they're just not giving out the awards that people won playing by their rules.
I contacted them on multiple occasions via email. They even opened assigned a "case number" to my request. I posted the last email where the basically said, "Pound sand and figure it out yourself." That, to me, is a scam.

Did you win more than once in a single entry period (weekly sweepstakes period)? Perhaps the system automatically made it so it wouldn't show you won, but a possible explanation.

From the rules;
Limit one (1) Instant Win Game win per person per Weekly Entry Period (Eligible Entrants who play additional Instant Win Games in the same Weekly Entry Period after they win will lose those subsequent games but will receive the number of entries into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes drawing identified in Section 4 above).

Well, there is hope. I just received the missing 4000 bonvoy points in my Marriott account today after complaining here yesterday. Still missing the 500 plus points and the Interval Platinum membership (both of which I really want). Fingers crossed that all will be resolved soon.

If you have multiple II accounts, check all of them for the platinum membership.
