I purchased a week every other year at the W 57th St Club in NYC in April of '24 (paid $23K and received 60K bonus points plus the 6000 points every other year). I paid my maintenance fees and my usage was to start 1/2025. In December I was invited to another presentation during which I decided to convert to 8400 points every year - this cost me $24K). Within the 5 days I decided to rescind this purchase, mostly because I hadn't yet had the chance to spend time at the club and wanted to be sure it was working for me before buying more points. 2 months later my $24K was credited. Today I logged on to my account to find that my entire membership was cancelled which was never my intent. The initial purchase of 6000 points every other year is no longer in my account. I am now out $23K and cannot even make a reservation (which by the way was why I logged on today). I have called and they are not letting me speak with anyone who can actually help me. They said that the support team works remotely and can't talk on the phone ! (?). Please let me know if anyone knows how I can get this fixed.

They should move you back to your original deed. That is how it normally happens. Who have you reached out to?

I called 800-932-4482 This was the number that appeared on the screen when I tried to login and got a notice that my account was cancelled.

do you have any contact number in your paperwork? I would think that you would reach out to porfolio services.

Try these numbers: Portfolio services - 800-472-6387 or 407-613-3149

Tell them that you have been an owner since 2024 and provide your membership number. Tell them that you upgraded in December but then rescinded, however now though, you don't have access to your account.

Thank you for your help. I will try these numbers.

I have also periodically seen a screen that says something like "there are no active accounts associated with this login" or similar. My account is just fine, but this still
pops up periodically for no reason.

Was it something like this, or more of a cancellation indication?

Cheers.

When I called they were very clear that my account had been cancelled.

did they say that it was going to be fixed? You have a paid for deed so that should be reinstated.

They said that they would put in a request to the support team. When I asked to speak directly to the support team - they told me that support was remote. Which is nonsense. I informed them that I work remote and I'm still able to take phone calls. This was the number I called originally - I am going to try the numbers that you provided shortly.

What they were probably trying to say is that the Support team is not a customer-facing team, i.e., they don't talk directly to customers.

UPDATE - They restored my account to the original purchase agreement.
Happy for you but Pls do NOT buy retail (& hard stop avoid these sales pitches/'Updates', if you can't say No)
(Folks have gotten STP, Platinum, EY at W57th, 8400 HGV pts for 500, even from brokers like Judi; no need to pay 24k + 24k for that)
Welcome to TUG!

Thank you. I would love to learn more about my options for purchasing points outside of retail.

W57th plat STP weeks (8400 annually) have been going for under $1000 resale, plus closing and activation/enrollment costs of $2500-$3000.

Great news! I had a suggestion -

FYI, if you are not getting the best responses from the front line on a phone call. You can email assistance@hgv.com and that will escalate you to an executive resolutions staff member. NEXT time something goes tits-up!

Writing that is just plain mean :)

We bought ours like 15 years ago and let's say it was a bit more since it was just about the only game in town...

Cheers.

sorry...

even three years ago I was happy paying $3000+closing; a year later my sister got hers for $1000; six months later I paid $600. But I consider these fair prices for what i get in return.

now the OP's $47,000... o_O

Yes, if anyone is patient, I have seen a couple of sub $1k deals on eBay, which also included free points.

Absolutely! I just got notification that my W57 STP 8400 passed ROFR. EBay auction price was $102. With closing/transfer costs, total was $1303. Do NOT pay retail for these deeds.
