I opened with CHASE and only found a homeless E. I then tried ERUPT and found a bunch of homeless letters. I thought I had placed them all appropriately with TUBER, but no, not that simple. At least I avoided UTTER catastrophe!

I thought an answer with a 'U' was about due, but I went with an 'AIO' containing starter just to be safe. Trying to fit in the U and E vowels in 2nd guess, UTTER was the first word that fit. In hindsight I could have used CUTER too.
But Utter just seemed to match WORDLE'S style...

I’m disappointed with my four, only because I was so certain my third try was correct.

I’m watching the ducks as they GLIDE across the lake. That was pretty productive, with a G, L and E out of position. I tried LEGAL next which got the G and L correct and found an A. I’m such an ANGEL, I just knew that was the answer. Darnit! Now, I’m hangry! Anyone got a BAGEL?

I'm in with the fives. I thought my fourth word would be correct, but it involved a senior moment in that what I had for the fourth letter could not have been correct. Shame on me.

Back to 4. At the end a 50/50 choice with the odds not in my favor again. I should trust my gut more Still glad for the 4.

I could have gone sideways if I went with other options LAYER, LAGER, for 2nd guess. For 3rd guess, BAGEL was my 1st thought.
However doing diligence, I also found GAVEL,
which is more obscure than BAGEL.

As I was clicking to start Wordle this morning, the word CRAFT flashed in my brain. Why? I have no idea. The gods must be ROFL. But, I kept my POISE and found the I and E in the right places, plus an S. That made me SMILE and moved the S to the correct spot. SNIDE seemed to fit but the N was not at home. The gods are, indeed, snide SWINE!
