Hi new member here, so I recently rescinded but I’m still interested, one of the sales agent said with the 9k package I think it was 30k points he said I could get any hotel under their brand 5 days 4 nights even if it’s Hawaii during peak season, it sounds too good to be true and a load of crap after reading all the post in tug. Thank god!,

but now after much research I really like timeshare, but I don’t know what is right for me on the resale market, so me my wife and two kids would need rooms or 2 beds, 5 days 4 nights or a week, we would like to travel twice a year once during peak and once during off peak
Im really interested in the flex because we normally don’t go back to the same destination, and we travel aboard once every other year, the sales agent said I would be able to book overseas hotel as well as long as it’s under their brand.
I am not sure what’s truth and what’s not, from the packet that I got there is very limited hotel I can choose from.

thanks in advance!!

I'm sorry, but that is a really bad deal - it's a poor value for your money. [Good job rescinding] - we can show you how to buy resale for a fraction of the cost.

You already understand the big issue -- retail salesmen lie to make sales.

Familiarize yourself with the resale market. This is a good place to ask questions.

Rent a coupe of times before buying anything. Renting will inform you of what size of unit you require, what quality level you want, what amenities you might enjoy, etc.

Take your time. Don't worry; prices aren't going up.

According to you guys which time share makes more sense right now? Which program should I look into? Between the Westin flex the vistana flex and the MVC?

It depends. For example, buying weeks is generally much cheaper than buying points, especially for Hawaii. If you fill out this survey we can provide more tailored advice:

I recommend Sheraton Broadway Plantation Gold Plus season, floats weeks #9-43 and 47. These are great traders, one bedrooms trade into two bedrooms through Interval International with upgrade fees. It's easy to get Orlando Vistana and Orlando Marriott resorts:

You can get these units free, even here on TUG Bargain Deals. A 2 bed lockoff units lockoff into two one bedrooms, maintenance fees of less than $1,300 for the two deposits.

Each exchange you make is $650+ exchange fee of $154 + upgrade fee to 2 bedrooms of $118 (within Marriott and Vistana). Membership to Interval International is about $99 per year. You can have many weeks for the same membership fee of $99.

I have Platinum membership to II and get $59 upgrades. Totally worth the extra money per year.

I’d stay away from flex. Since you want peak and off peak weeks, you may want to look into the Marriott Points program. You’ll be paying for it, even on resale, but it will be worth it for your travel needs.

You may want to post in the Marriott forum and ask the best way to get into the points program. Those who own I’ll set you in the right direction with how many points you would need for a two bedroom for 5 days in Hawaii.
