Why does every thread seem to turn into a debate on KBC?

OP asked for a “beach-y family friendly” resort- not the absolute best beach- not that everyone would agree on that either

KBC is certainly a great beach-y family friendly resort. Many just don't like the lack of kitchens and in-room laundry. We liked it but would probably try Waiohai next.

I am going to Hilton Head SurfWatch in Auguest. I cannot imagine the beach better than Hawaii but OK I will see myself.

I grew up with the sand and waves of Atlantic Coast beaches so I may be prejudiced toward HHI. But I do think that aside from Waiohai, there aren't any MVC Hawaiian resort beaches better than SurfWatch. The islands have better beaches...but not the resorts.

I actually think KBC has the second best beach of the Hawaiian MVC resorts (after Waiohai). Usually the waves of Nawiliwili bay are a bit tame for our taste...but it's way better than A-Bay at Waikoloa or the man made lagoon at Ko Olina. And if the surf too rough to go in the water at Poipu Beach (Waiohai), Nawiliwili comes into it's own.
