I just returned from a week in Newport. On check in, I declined the bid for an "owner's update" since the last time I went to one, the salesmen asked me not to come back/waste their time because I NEVER fall for the latest sales pitch.

The rep was horrified and told me that, as an owner, I was entitled to cash, a discount card and an update on each visit. Sooooooooo, off I went.

This time, the sales person started the presentation, then said I wasn't eligible because my daughter, whose name is also on the deed, was not with me - no one ever said that before. She called in her manager who told me that, as of Dec. 1, 2009, there was a new policy - all people listed on the deed must be present at the owner's update. I told him that I owned two weeks, and my daughter wasn't on the other deed and didn't have to be there. WRONG!! Supposedly, if anyone is on any of your deeds, they now have to be present at each update.

I asked to see the announcement of the new policy but was told it was an "internal" memo.

Is this another bunch of lies from the honest sales team at Wynham???
