Here's my abriged TUG2 review. Go over there to see the full details.

I have mostly enjoyed my Wyndham stays in the past. Of all the ones I've stayed at so far, this one is the worst. In fact, it's *just* a step above the worst timeshare I've ever been in - Villa Roma. There's a mix of issues that all come together to be only my second below average rating.

Ok, Pros:
Has in unit stuff you expect like stove and laundry and they're not weirdly in the master bathroom.
Rather chill owner updates for discounted tickets.
Right near the Grand Ol Opery. Far from downtown Nashville. You decide which location you like better. I prefer away from Nashville due to noise and traffic.

Ok - notice the pros are all basically "meeting expectations"? Yea. Better than Villa Roma but just.

Cons:
Dated unit - clearly old furniture, rugs, shower/tub installs.
Housekeeping / maintenance overview clearly not done. The air intake for the room is kinda in the center of the unit next to the kitchen. It was so dusty it was clear it hadn't been cleaned in months to years. We reported that.
Master Bedroom door didn't latch at all. Luckily the first few nights it mostly stayed closed and I could prop it with my luggage.
Master Bathroom door doesn't lock.
None of this would be unforgivable - we had similar missed maintenance the first Massanutten Regal Vistas stay. However, it took 3 days and 3 follow up text messages to get maintenance to finally come out - and to know what we were reporting.
Unlike Smokey Mountains or La Belle Maison - no HBO here either on the TV. It just screams a lower star experience than those two Wyndhams.
Oh and way too common issues with wall sockets - had to use a chair to not have the plugs just fall right out for my travel router and laptop.

Ok, that's just unit issues. The resort has other non-staggered maintenance. Both outdoor hottubs were not just down, they were under construction.

Parking can be a nightmare - the spaces are too small for all the big SUVs (I'm guilty with a Pilot) and F150/F250s people drive. They probably are sized for like an Outback or Crosstrek - small sedans fit fine. Minivans also take up "too much space" for the spots.

So if you want to go to downtown Nashville - driving is horrible, parking is very expensive or in some areas non-existent. Lyft is over $36 one way. So on the plus side, Wyndham runs a shuttle on the hour. The downside is they charge for it - $15 a person, per day. I think if you do a presentation they'll drop it down to $10 but I haven't confirmed that yet.

Wyndham Nashville still limits WiFi devices to 5, and more annoying, it resets *every day* at noon and you have to re-log in.

Conclusion: 4.5 stars. Video review to follow once I can get it edited in a few weeks hopefully.

I don't know how this location gets 8+ rating on TUG TBH. This isn't a small difference of opinion or my grading harsher - maybe it really matters the unit you get, and maybe the hot tubs haven't been down that long.

I guess I am glad we booked Margaritaville Vacation Club Nashville for our recent stay. Though I am sure it was way more points and the valet parking was $57/day. Ouch. But it was just a couple blocks from the historic district and you could realistically walk to Music Row, though it would be over a mile. Uphill both ways. The rooms at Margaritaville were immaculate.

I do wish when resorts did refurbishments that they would replace all the electrical outlets. These things are cheap and they get loose very fast given how they are used. I suspect most resorts don't replace these on any kind of schedule.

I didn't know it was available via Wyndham - it's very confusing to me for a resale owner on sometimes Margaritaville shows up, sometimes not. And for Valet to be like 40% more than in New Orleans? Seems like a scam to me. Then again, it's not crazy compared to other city locations.

The stupider thing is as far as I can tell, they insist on using home outlets. I know there are much more robust commercial outlets - it's what they've used at my work - and those last for decades as far as I can tell. Again, not the exact same pattern, but it's not like there aren't people regularly using them and not treating them gently. Yes, I'm sure you have to pay more, and may need to put on your own faceplate if you don't like the "industrial" look, but they'd be set for much longer. I still wonder who's wearing out the kitchen wall plug near the table anyway.

As a resale owner you should be able to access Margaritaville inventory at 5 months from checkin. The only notable exception we saw was Atlanta where we weren't able to book Margaritaville. So we just stayed in a Club Wyndham unit.

Just a tip if you want to go downtown on the cheap. Use the city bus that has pickup locations at hotel across the street. The negative is that the bus depot is a long walk from downtown (6-9 blocks)? Pull the transit up on the web for locations and schedule. We own there and have noticed an appreciable decline in the maintenance and running of the resort. Activities used to be robust but is minimal now. Elevators have been out often.

As an owner I can attest to the steady decline since COVID.

Ok, and the savings on the shuttle weren't available "due to some system error at Wyndham that'll take 2+ weeks to fix". Now it was only a $15 difference for 3 people, but it was part of the presentation sales pitch. I didn't make a stink cause I needed to get on the shuttle, but better customer service from the concierge would have been to offer an Amex gift card for the $5/day/person (on the days I was going to buy tickets) discount they couldn't do because of a system error. An all around below average resort in CS for sure.

We went back in the good old days when the resort looked good and prices were cheaper. We had the entertainment book for Nashville and went to many historic places at two for one and restaurants too. Back then the resort put on two or three concerts a week and also had live music at the pool.

It’s a Nashville thing lol…drives me nuts can’t tell you how many my son has had to replace in the house. They build everything too fast and the contractors are way too cheap.

I liked Nashville a lot the first time we stayed there, but we only had one night (booked 2 but stayed one). We were on a driivng trip to Orlando or Myrtle Beach, not sure which one. I loved it that night, but we were there after dark and left early the next day after having a quick breakfast in the room. We have been there two additional times.

My opinion was quite different after spending several days there a year later. We had a room with an odd bed arrangement with the bed being angled in a corner of the room. No room for nightstands. It was awkward. I tried to get another unit but the answer was of course, "no, we are full." The beauty of the resort is truly location for us, on the way to Disney World as an alternative to a hotel. Our last few drives, we stayed at a Marriott hotel in Birmingham instead of Wyndham.

I equate our stay at Nashville to Branson Meadows. Same ugly bathtub enclosure for a shower. Those are tacky. If you didn't like Nashville, you won't like the Branson Meadows resort, either, and according to reviews, it's the best resort Wyndham has in Branson. So I avoid the other resorts.

We have stayed at Branson Meadows many times over the years. There was a time about 3 years ago that we stepped into the elevator after housekeeping mopped the floor with stank water. I mean, it was nauseating. The memory floods back as soon as I step on that elevator. I walked the stairs after that happened during that trip. I know it was a housekeeper who mopped the floor because I saw her. The odor was disgusting. Not like vomit but just as bad. Don't use cruddy old mop water to clean anything, let alone a closed space like that.

And what's wrong with having units smell clean? I have never stepped into a Marriott, Hilton, Westin, Hyatt or Sheraton with a stale odor in the room upon arrival. The rooms smell like they were just cleaned. What is with Wyndham's housekeeping staff that doesn't care that a room at Bonnet Creek smells like Indian food for days at a time? And Panama City, YUCK, the room smelled terrible, like it had been closed down for weeks. I seriously question their housekeeping skills. It's pretty bad when you feel you have to take room deodorizers with you to stay at Wyndham resorts. And it makes you question whether bedding was actually changed.

Premium TV is nothing I expect, but the picture on the TV in the living rooms at both resorts is terrible. If you are going to provide cable TV, at least have a good picture on the TV. Some of the TV's are too small.

I have said all of this before.

I dislike the limit on devices and the slow speed of the internet. We stayed at LaCascada and had internet speed of .46 with a limit of devices. The internet was by far the worst we have ever experienced. I remember when Disney resorts' internet, every one of them, was 1.0 speed and that was slow. This was ridiculous at LaCascada. I couldn't get anything done, and our cell phone reception was terrible in downtown San Antonio. I took my laptop to our son's unit at Hyatt. I loved spending time there with the kids and grandkids. What a great experience that was for us!

Wyndham has some fantastic resorts, don't get me wrong, but technology should be the same everywhere as it is at Bonnet Creek.

Stay at Wyndham Shearwater in a presidential unit sometime and be amazed. Those are worthy of the required points.

Ugg, well I guess I'll find out in September - I think I booked there as an extra vacation.

IDK, the Sheraton Vistana Villages I got smelled moderately, like 6/10 like musty the entire time I was there. It never aired out.

TBH, I don't watch TV so my reviews are always going to miss that aspect. I try and bring shows with me for my laptop, but I just always end up doing something else - I can watch TV without driving somewhere lol.

What's interesting is while I dislike the limit on devices, the Internet was plenty usable at all 3 Wyndhams I just went to. My Hyatt at the Welk stay had probably in the bottom 2 least usable Internet I've had at any resort. I guess mileage varies a lot on resort or unit - IDK what to say except I think all resorts NEED to get unlimited fast WiFi NOW. People stream, people do remote work (at least Wyndham surveys are asking if you might be doing that so it's starting to seep in that might be a sales pitch), whatever. Bad WiFi was ok in 2010, but it's 2025 now and just really isn't acceptable.

Yes, I agree - I would think keeping the technology the same would be a good thing all around.

I feel bad we stayed in June of last year (at the Club Wyndham Nashville) and I failed to post a review. I actually did a review and somehow lost it without saving it and was too lazy to do it again.

I thought the resort was very tired looking. Grounds maintenance wasn't up to par (maybe Bonnet Creek spoils me). Communication/information was frustrating. We were told the wrong closing time for the pools. We went to one that closed earlier than the one by the main building. But at 9 or 9:30 at night, it's not worth the effort to move pools, just took some disappointed little ones back to the room (hot tub instead). Mostly frustrated that the maintenance crew seemed to close when they felt like it (and/or very poor communication). My feeling was they didn't know and didn't care (maintenance or front desk).

We were a floor below our grandkids. We could tell which one was doing what. We were amused but guessing a stranger would not have been so much. 'Oh that little walk/hop - must be Theo (1 at the time)'.

Daughters air went out and they repaired it, changing out parts, within 2 hours maybe (that was impressive).

We drove downtown and paid crazy to park, to get food at the food court and look a round a bit. Fun town (but we were there for a tour of the Grand Ol Opry, so the regular Wyndham is where we wanted to be - Our daughter has pictures with all 3 kids now 'in the circle'). PS - Nashville hot chicken is HOT (I'm iffy on hot food anyways, but my DH and SIL like it hot, and it was too hot to enjoy (which is why we drove to the food court).
