Wyndham Discovery Question

Hey all! I can't find the answer I'm looking for in other threads so I'm hoping someone can help. I signed up for the Wyndham Discovery program at Myrtle Beach on July 22. I have been able to login to my Club Wyndham account and already secure my first vacation. However, I still haven't received anything from Wyndham about paying for the program! When I was signing up, I turned down the Wyndham credit card, but they said I could pay with 0% down through a separate company that handles their financing. It was 0% down, 0% interest for 6 months, and the monthly payments were very reasonable. I signed up and realized only when I got back to my hotel room that I didn't have ANY paperwork that outlined the terms the rep told me about. The only financial paperwork I have is the term agreement sheet showing all "$0"'s, which the rep said was showing up that way because as far as Wyndham is concerned everything is paid for since I'm financing with that outside company. When I realized I didn't have anything with even the other companies name on it, I called the rep (who gave me his cell phone number) and explained. He acted like it was no big deal and told me that everything would come in the mail in about a week. Well, that was almost 3 weeks ago now and I haven't heard a peep. I also don't see on Credit Karma where anyone has even checked my credit yet for this either. Is it normal for it to take this long or do you think there is some sort of glitch? I was VERY on the fence about even purchasing and I really don't know what to do. From the Wyndham rep's perspective, everything is squared up. Thanks for any help or guidance you can provide!

I’m not sure if Wyndham discovery packages are rescindable. Even if they are, you are outside the 10 day rescission window.

We just signed up for the very same thing a few days ago. Was told everything that you were told. They said we would get our first bill in 45 days, but recommended that we pay it off with a lower rate card. Interest rate is 18 percent with this credit company. On our way home from vacation and am thinking about rescinding after researching on this forum.

If you signed up for a TS not a discovery package, that is rescindable. How much was your TS? When did you buy?

We signed up for the Discovery program for sure. That is not recindable? Signed up on Thursday, after 6 long hours.

Check your contract for, if any exist, rescission instructions. The good news is, with the discovery package, you weren’t ripped off that badly. The discovery package is typically $10.5/1k pts, while a resale Ts is typically $6.5/1k. So you were ripped off for $4/1k pts. Consider yourself lucky.

With a full blown Ts, people are ripped off for $25k for TS they could have bought for $1. If you do buy a retail Wyndham TS, I have attached the TS rescinded instructions for you.

Thank you for your help. It is very much appreciated. Just one question....How does someone buy a TS for $1?
