We are at Marriott Crystal Shores. The marketing director was trying to convince us to attend a sales presentation. He said there was a recent survey for Chairman’s Club members. He said Chairman’s Club members complained they know more than the sales reps. So he said this location is piloting a special program, only at this resort, and the sales reps here are specially trained and certified by Marriott to know more than regular reps. Along with the regular Visa cash card, he said they are also offering some cheese and crackers to Chairman’s Club members as a special bonus to attend! LOL
On another note, the pool at this resort is so hot. I was sitting in the shallow end of the pool for about 15 minutes. When I went to stand up, I was so dehydrated from the heat that I practically fell down and fainted. My legs were wobbly which happens right before I faint. I am from Miami and I love traveling in June to the Caribbean and to the beaches in South Florida. My family, friends and I were speculating that the temperature on the Gulf side is much hotter than on the Atlantic side. This will be my first and last trip to Marco Island in the summer. We have a gulf front room that is beautiful with a large corner balcony but I really can’t leave the room for long due to the heat. The ocean is like green soup. It is so murky and the color of an olive. I can’t wait to get back to the Atlantic side. We are going diving and snorkeling in Key Largo on Saturday and that will give me a better comparison of the air and water temperature.
