Where would I look to exchange my unit to another location Permanently

We no longer reside in TX and live in MT, we have a TS at Holiday hills in Branson MO but would be willing to look at a permanent exchange with something closer to MT. Where could I get information on this type of business transaction?

It is much easier to sell or give away what you have and buy somewhere that you want. Looking to exchange with someone else means you need someone who wants the exact reverse of what you want. You can check redweek.com, TUG marketplace or ebay.

A timeshare is easy to buy. You need to get rid of yours before you go out and get the other one.

There is also an outside chance the Branson TS will accept a deed-back.

If think a private exchange of a Branson for a MT TS is gonna be a no go. Unload the one you have and buy where you want to go.

We were able to sell an Idaho TS on Google Marketplace where it got exactly zero hits in the TUG Marketplace.

We paid cash for our TS years ago so no mortgage and fees are paid monthly.

I think Silverleaf Holiday Hills is a Holiday Inn resort now. I believe that the deed back program is called Horizons. You should call the resort title services department. I think there is a fee of about $1200 for their deedback program. Plus, a year of maintenance. I would call while its early in 2025 and hopefully they don't charge you a extra year for 2026.

Yes indeed it is owned and managed by Holiday Inn Resort. Love to have a number to call, I was on hold for 75 minutes yesterday and no one bothered to pickup.

I know this process can feel frustrating, but I wanted to share some helpful resources!

Here’s the website where you can submit a request to begin the process for a deed back according to Holiday Inn Club’s website:

It looks like the fee is $1,200, just make sure you’re caught up on payments. If you’re sure you want to proceed, starting at the beginning of the year might help you avoid paying for an additional year. That said, I can’t confirm if they’d charge this early, so keep that in mind.

No, but we recognize them when they do. Just ask. Usually they are exit companies.

Hard to scam a free timeshare, as long as you don't pay for them to take off your hands.

I had a gentleman message me through this website enquiring about my TS, all I could do is send him a reply thru his personal email that was listed.

I would just walk away from your existing timeshare if they won’t take it back and you can’t give it away, and then purchase a resale contract where you want to stay. Odds of a credit hit for only unpaid maintenance fees are low.

Do not, under any circumstances, pay any organization claiming they will help you exit your ownership. They are all scams.
