... I did look out the windows to check if all plantings were being watered.

Whoa! You have plantings?...
I have a bag of potting soil & landscape fabric in my garage... and plans.

Since it's springtime here in the northeast, I watched the grass in the back yard grow. I think it grew about 1/16" today.

Brewster Green (two weeks).
I've been in technology hell since we had to take the remainder of second semester college classes online. I am self-taught on the computer. I probably do many things the hard way and there's so much I don't know. So it's been stressful. I've had to learn my away around the college web sites for students and do homework and language lab online, even before the virus. Since the virus, I'm learning how to use Zoom for classes three days a week, fill in and convert tests to Word docs and drop them in the teacher's "drop box", Use Voice Thread (I couldn't unless I added another browser to my MacBook Air.) So today I had use my iPad and make a video oral presentation, all in Italian without notes, and attach and send that to my instructor. Final exam is Monday. Once over, I plan to join so many others who are deep cleaning their houses, one room at a time.

I miswrote. We do not have a lawn. We do have bushes, bamboo, daffodils, tulips, small trees, etc.

Today I think I’ll watch some paint dry.

What I have done nearly every weekday since SIP: work, work, work, work, work. At home most of the time, a few times in the office.

I haven't missed the commute. We have saved a ton of money on gas, eating out, and on getting my hair & nails done. I am comfortable with our retirement budget right now since our expenses have almost dropped in half during SIP. I knew that we ate out a lot, mostly lunches, but I really didn't appreciate how much was spent.

Just curious, Katherine, how much is gas in CA now? It’s $1.50/gal in my area of Alabama.

Ha. I don't know. I paid $2.79 for premium a couple of weeks ago but I still have 3/4 of a tank.

I think there's a website. Let me try to find it. Here you go:

Interesting. It's showing $1.89-$2.35. That's even lower than I thought it would be. Thanks.

A rare event took place today. Got out the carpet cleaning machine and cleaned the carpets and one area rug. This only happened because we are stuck at home and the weather is finally starting to warm (so it should dry faster). Temp going up into the 80s today.

As for the rest of you guys, as soon as your wives read this, you're in trouble...

I started the day with high hopes...
I dug three big holes in the yard to transplant bushes.
I got sweaty, so I took a shower... and the rest of the day off.
-- I expect the holes will still be there tomorrow.

Returned some work calls, rescheduled a meeting watched a webinar on composting, shopped for a composter and of course the one I want in not in stock anywhere, paid some bills, more work, made some lunch, walked the dogs, cruised TUG, have a skype meeting in an hour, thawed dinner and will probably do some wash.

No rain today so i mowed and edged front and back lawn. Then applied fertilizers because rain coming back tomorrow or Saturday. Patti cleaned whole house - dusting, vacuuming, applied stuff to wooden floors while Felix and I were outside.

Decided not to wait for a carb kit because Amazon Prime says I might see it next week and tore apart and cleaned the carb this morning-ish. The Stihl chainsaw started up first pull. So now I get to cut the rest of the arbs which will lead to repairs on the ivy covered retaining wall. If I would work on it like a young man instead of putting it off like my older semi-retired self, I could be done next week instead of next fall, lol.

I had a great phone conversation with a real estate agent in the area I'm looking to move to for retirement. Not committing to a specific property just yet, but opened the conversation. Depending on the ongoing situation, this may happen sooner than later.

Meanwhile, anybody want to buy my current house? :D

I bought a new-to-me car. Took my beloved 2007 Yukon in for inspection. FAIL. As in, "Ma'am. I'm just not real sure how you got yourself here. This really isn't good." :) Since it had 200K miles...wasn't unexpected. I had my stimulus check for a down payment. Was able to get a 2014 Ford Explorer that has 4WD. Not quite my Yukon, but it'll do in a pinch. Hopefully lots more miles to drive left in it. I've got trips to take!

Painted the entry door and door frame. Still have to take the tape off when it’s dry. Color is Benjamin Moore “ Glimmer” as in a “glimmer” of hope. Lord knows we need it.

You might want to get on it. Real estate loans are getting tougher. Even with lower interest rates, many who once qualified won't because they were or are laid off. The banks are checking to see if a person is laid off at closing these days meaning in the 60 days from offer to close many deals are going sideways.

Good Luck Dave.
