Outdoor hot tub. It's the one thing I can't get at home, and so really treasure on my vacations. I lean towards full kitchen, but can do a microwave/fridge combo in a pinch, if the location is amazing.

Location, location, location. However since being recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and having to watch my salt intake a kitchen is becoming more of a make it or break it situation. I did however just book an AC to Sun Peaks Resort without a kitchen. Working on ways to cook a bit in the room even if they don't like it. Bought a one burner induction range and may also take my instant pot.

It doesn't keep us from going, but we (meaning me) may not bring steak or sausages with us if we (meaning Cliff, who doesn't mind the walk) have to trek over the hill and through the woods to a barbeque area. So much easier to grill on the balcony, or at least very close by. We love Worldmark Pismo, and have two full weeks and three four day vacations booked for next year, but not having a disposal gets old real quick. I remember stepping in it when I was about 15 when I exclaimed "you don't have a disposal??!!" at an aunt's home in Ohio. I thought everyone had disposals, that's just the way kitchen sinks come!

Recently left one timeshare ahead of time and that was after 1 day without WiFi.

+1
We stayed in a TS/spa in a gorgeous location in Scotland but it had absolutely no working wifi or cellular service. DH had to go down the road a mile and make business calls at a cell phone tower in the middle of a pasture with grazing sheep. He said the connection was great though. We had to stay the whole week since it was an rci reservation and we didn’t have other options.

Gosh, I have a disposal at home and seldom use it - maybe once a week to make sure it is cleaned out. (I guess because we had a septic system for 25 years and hubs did not want me to put so much food into it.) I do not expect to have them in timeshares - actually in several places we stay, they had them originally and took them out. I guess people run the wrong things down it or do not let it run long enough to clean it out.

My guess in Pismo is 50/50 a city wide thing vs sand down the drain. I know I rinse my seashells in the ocean (I have a gazillion Pismo sand dollars already, but can't help picking up more every trip), but after then drying them on the counter, even wiping up extra sand with a wet paper towel, I know a certain amount of sand goes down the drain even with me being careful. Us lazy city folk expect our creature comforts, like not having to scrape plates into the trash can and constantly having to take the trash out. Way too labor intensive!

Depends on the location and activities. View and amenities matter more if we will be in the room more frequently.

Ski in /ski out - view does not matter. Need a hot tub for apes ski muscles.

OF/OV lanai view in Hawaii and Cabo. + Pool amenities.

Central Park or City view NYC HGVC West 57

Walking/or shuttle to Disney. Not in room much.

We value the View/balcony/Lanai a lot, followed by a kitchen/barbecue. Good firm/supportive mattress and i like quiet at night. I will even take a studio if it has most of those things over a large one or two bedroom that doesn't. I also have become more inclined to prefer the smaller, less extravagant resorts over the large mega resort timeshares.

Clean!!! And no smoke or any other weird scents

It has to be above the norm or I’m out

I can deal with not much to do if the place is spotless
We have walked in and walked right back out several times. We never carry anything in until we check it out
