What’s the ONE THING or amenity your Vacation/timeshare resort just has to have or you are not booking there?

I’m a simple guy and don’t want for much.

BUT..

I just have to have a BBQ on site. I especially like BBQ sections. They must be clean and orderly.

I love cooking outdoors and grilling. The smells of the grill coupled with the cold beer sends me to heaven.

Of course, I am assuming cleanliness in all cases is required. That’s why I said thing or amenity like BBQ.

So what THING or amenity does your timeshare or resort must have or you aren’t booking there?

I used to say A/C but I have been to a few places without it here in Hawaii and can definitely tolerate not having it now. I have been here in the heat of summer without issues and this summer was warm.

That would make a lanai with a nice view my one must have.

I guess a better question might be what feature or amenity would keep me from booking there. Frankly a resort that is overly geared to small children or teens would be a turn off to me. I've done my time at Disney, and at that time it was fine. But now, I prefer adult company. We cruise- but NOT on Carnival. Holland America or Seabourne are more to our liking. We have adult kids who have younger kids. Let THEM go to the amusement parks. Been There Done That.
I too, like to grill. But I'm not fond of those that are 100 meters and an elevator ride from the comfortable surroundings of my balcony. A grill on my own patio/lanai/balcony is best or one shared by at most a half dozen units.
Another must is convenient parking. I don't want to have to wait 10 minutes or call ahead for a valet to bring the wheels, and I don't want to carry groceries 1/4 mile to the unit.
Alternately, good public transport, conveniently located is a plus.
Fred, I'll happily discuss this over a beer. Or two.

A washer & dryer in the unit is nice but if the location was great not having one wouldn't stop me from booking. The same goes with a gas grill, they're nice, but not a deal-breaker. The only thing that is a deal breaker now for us is mandatory resort fees or high daily parking rates. I think resort fees should only be charged to renters, not exchangers. We have crossed a few previously enjoyed resorts off our lists due to the mandatory resort fee.

Two bedrooms, clean linen, a clean villa, an elevator, luggage carts, washer and dryer in the unit, security onsite, a resort with good solid reviews. These are just a few suggestions IMHO.

Now that all the grandkids and their friends are no longer traveling with us a swimming pool is not mandatory.

We now enjoy walking alone again at our own pace.

Sounds liked Fredflintstone enjoys cooking on a grill and eating with a cold beer on the side. LOL.

Right there with you on kids. My adult daughter and I both love Disneyworld, especially Epcot during Food & Wine Festival. However, we think they should either ban kids altogether or have adults only days!

As for Fred’s question, the only must I can think of is if we’re going to a beach location, we MUST HAVE an oceanfront view. Otherwise, what’s the point?

AC, WIFI, and Balcony are our 3 requirements. We do like 2 bathrooms, so I tend to get 2bed 2 bath units. One bathroom is not a deal breaker, but hubs gets up about an hour before me and it is nice when he hops in the shower and gets ready futher away from the bedroom while I am still sleeping. :)

We use timeshares primarily for getaways, just to chill. So for me, not having a quiet pool would be a deal-breaker.

Full kitchen when we are with family. We are at a resort with only a partial kitchen and a hotplate they sent up from housekeeping. Worried we will set off the smoke alarm! Eating out with family too expensive and adds to cost of stay.

Full kitchen and a/c. I have stayed at TS that had only a microwave and mini refrigerator and it was a challenge feeding the family. Luckily I brought along a George Foreman grill and rice cooker.
