Do guests at the Westin Princeville still have access to the beach at the St. Regis?

Also silly question here: Can you buy the Absolutely Natural sunscreen at the pool/spa? If not, I need to order the sunscreen beforehand to bring with me. Or do they sell another brand?

The pool shack prices are criminal. If you want this brand, I'd bring it, or buy it at Walmart, Costco, etc.

Yes you have beach access and can charge food and drink to room
Travel by car or shuttle - still determine by towel color where you are staying and Villa occupants are not allowed in St Regis pool

$16 for a drink...
the shuttle works great, but pay attention to the last departure time
Kauai has stores in which to buy every type of sunscreen imaginable, and better selection than at St Regis (or WPORV)

Guess I'm not buying drinks at the St. Regis ...... highway robbery, even for Hawaii. Just MHO.

Unfortunately 2 of my party cannot wear any chemical based sunscreen(rash and hives), it must be the natural zinc oxide stuff. I looked in the stores in Hawaii on our last visit and all I could find is the chemically based sunscreen. I have some of the zinc oxide at home, but really not enough for the 4 of us for 3 weeks. Guess I need to order some.

I haven't been to WPORV but they do sell absolutely natural at the WKORV pool shack on Maui, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did. Best bet is probably to call.

Wait until you see the price of the food.

How about the spa prices, too bad for the wallet the wife loves it...

No spa people here. How about any happy hour specials or drink of the day?

Spa prices

In shopping around, the prices at WPORV seemed reasonable- especially when compared to the pricing for the same services at the St. Regis.

I think the prices at the beach/pool are about what someone would expect at a nice resort hotel.

On the other hand, the prices at the St Regis hotel restaurant are way more than I thought reasonable.

The prices at the restaurant at WPORV were OK & the food good ( not great) BUT having it at the resort, meant no driving so drinking was OK

My comment was related to St Regis Spa prices. But, it is a nice one. Although, Grand Waile in Maui is better.

You must try their special Bloody Mary. St. Regis takes credit for inventing the Bloody Mary (in New York City) This one has sea asparagus.

What do those special drinks cost - $18 each?

Get Savings Cards for both Safeway and Foodland - makes huge difference.

We got a Safeway card on our visit to Maui in 2013, so hope it still works. Glad we can get a Foodland card, too.

The Foodland card is called a Makai card - like Safeway, only need a phone number associated with the card.
